Interesting news. Wonder if this could see Brain come back into the fold (doubt it though).:(
Not sure if this has been mentioned here yet. Someone at mygnr pointed out this:
"Their drummer is Frank 'Thunderchucker' Ferrer, formerly of Guns N' Roses."

Hey everybody,
Just some points:
1. Incognito - 'a fool and his money are soon parted'.
2. "Calumfarq" (and all others who claim to have heard these songs); care to share with us the lyrics you heard? That way we can tell if this is real or say, a fake from the past or some shit.
3. I know there are certain people - possibly reading this thread - who can tell me what's going on; well, now's your moment of magic.:) (Edit: BTW: I mean what's really going on - I know this from reading the supposed "leaker"s posts.:))
4. I understood some new MSL stuff has leaked - an older version of "TWAT" and some "Prostitute" mixes, and "Chinese Democracy" '99? Santa wanna hook me up?:)
5. I was gonna post about the Illitpress interview with Del James - but it seems that's already gone down? Didn't think RazZ would pull it off....
Thanks,
AR

One thing I just don't buy into is that it will be another AFD rehash tour this time around. It would defy logic at this point, although, as you say, Axl08, one has to look at the reception of the album, who is buying it and who is going to concerts, and ask yourself if this really would be a good idea for next time....
Azoff seriously needs to equal Man City's offer to Kaká when they next go to Buckethead, as I am sure they already have done [approached him, that is] given the current tour rumours. It doesn't have to be money - a few heads need to be cracked together....

In reply to one of the earlier posts, I seem to remember it being said that a new 'Knocking on Heaven's Door' supposedly with Buckethead was out there, along with a version of 'Prostitute'. The guy said he liked it ['KOHD'] so much that he "could not listen to the 1992 version anymore".
Just throwing that out there.

I said from day one Sorry should've been a single. For the most part that opinion got laughed at while others pushed for that cheese SOD.
About which no one - NA or the rest of the world - seems to have heard anything about since that supposed artwork leaked. It hasn't even been discussed on the forums.
Anyone still wanna doubt this comeback was a failure?
The only saving grace for them now is the 'AFD effect' or new interest being gained and garnered in the possible tour/s next year. But this album faced an uphill struggle even before the 'promotion-less' CD was released - due to a music industry crippled by illegal downloading (*ahem*), credit crunch, and various factors. Cultural change - the decline of MTV, for instance, is another moot point. And, of course, according to Axl, the record company's own unwillingness to promote and push a project that has put the out of pocket to the tune of some $13 million.
It beggars belief, really. I'm just so sorry for the fans: and all who put their effort and faith into this project, well, some since 1993.

50% (the comeback aspect) of the wait was in vein. Indisputable proof has now been provided (on top of what I saw in HMV again the other day - a reduced CD now part of a 'two for £10' (circa $20?) offer). For someone like me/us who stuck by the band through thick and thin, braids and buckets, it's a solemn and even self-questioning sight.
I don't even see how a rerelease is possible now. Only surely the hardcores would be interested. Things might have been different though if it had been the 2002 band, as Stinson's interview confirmed for the 300th time.

Comparing Huge and Finck to Stinson is comical.
Again, I meant in Europe/my part of the world. Maybe in the US he is more well known - but most people here would just say, "Who?". Maybe a few more may know of him now that Chinese Democracy has come out.
GN'R had/have more hits playing on the radio stations (albeit old GN'R as opposed to new GN'R now - even now, as the dust is starting to settle on the release of CD) here in the UK/Europe, so maybe it's only logical that Huge's work with Rose in the latter stages of 'old' GN'R will be more well known - esp. in regards to 'Sympathy For The Devil'. "Please allow (Huge) to introduce himself...."

Hmmm. I didn't know Paul only had credits on 'Back Off Bitch' (TBH not my favourite song either) - I thought he had like two or three songs. Remember that he also knew Axl from his pre-GN'R days, or at least the early 80s.
'I.R.S.' and parts of 'Oh My God' rocked too (didn't he also do one other 'rocker'? - I forget) - so for me he has contributed a lot in particular to the new era of GN'R. In general, I am glad he is still(?) working on the proejct - and hopefully will return to tour if needed.
