I love Lenny!   Wish he was coming to the Philly show.  Now I have to buy tickets to a show in NJ too!

Maybe it is because of the state of my fucked up life, but I cannot stop my eyes from tearing up as I watch this entire reconciliation play out.

I am so happy for these guys ( I know they make millions and live charmed lives, but it was a very tough 20 years) and am really enjoying the good press, the excitement, and smiles all around.

Hopefully, the Honeymoon period lasts forever.

I cried very happy tears. I've waited patiently for this reunion for over 20 years...and watching these clips brings tears of joy and sadness for all those lost years.  I still can't believe it finally really happened.

Wow.  seems like they haven't missed a beat in 23 years...

Just thought I'd highlight the most important part tongue.

Is it new material or Chinese Democracy?

I really really hope it's new stuff.  I'm not particularly keen on hearing Chinese stuff although it will be interesting to hear Slash's take on those songs.

True...which is why you should post more.

Interesting how STL was dropped from the tour. As far as Philly tickets go, that's a coin toss right there. I mean...yeah a riot happened and most probably remember it....but it was a different band, a different time.

Now you've got me interested in this Philly show. The demographic of that crowd could be revealing. If majority is teens/college students, then old school fans in that area still have a sour taste in their mouth from that incident.

I felt really bad for that crowd. I think it was you and/or PhillyRiot on the old version of the site who posted a lengthy review of what happened there and it was just inexcusable.

I tend to think it will be old school fans more than anything so I will be very disappointed if people act like assholes.

Oh hell yeah. The 'ol Vet. Phillies fans are consistently ranked every year by Major League Baseball players as the worst fans in all of baseball.

Why?

Because they are a fucking nightmare on visiting teams to Phillies games. They will harass you and drive you fucking insane. There was a reason why Phillie fans loved guys like pudgy John Kruk and dip-spittin' con-artist Lenny Dykstra... they were a reflection of the attendees.

And yes, the Vet had a jail cell for a reason. To lock up Mitch Williams and protect him from the riot when he blew saves. Williams was very open about the death threats, for fucking reals 'yo, he got from the people of the city after he blew that 1993 World Series and the Blue Jays won.

Philly people don't fucking play man

That's why I, as a Dallas Cowboys fan, no longer go to any NFL games here.   They even throw things at Santa Claus.

Not sure about that but a few people on ROV/Evo were at the riot in 2002.  I know mrsaxlrose is in Philly..she might have went to one of these shows.

Strange how Philly is notorious for its rough crowds.

I wasn't living in Philly yet during the 88 and 91 shows.  I did not attend the 02 show. Philly crowds can definitely be crazy..  Before they tore it down Veterans stadium was the only stadium that had to have a jail cell.  They don't have a jail at the Linc so I hope the crowds aren't out of hand because my daughter is going with me to the concert...tickets were an early 17th bday present for her.
