stop spamming this at every place you can find. this is not GNR.
this is indeed the new "My Favourite Pillow" 16

Never listened to the remasters...no point.

they sound exactly the same as the originals, literally no point of listening to them (well, there IS a point - the originals can be just replaced with "remasters" and keep listening as before).
new NR is kinda cool, I enjoyed listening to it.
Ritz is pure gold.
Vegas is nice.
Tokyo bonus tracks are nothing new.

the "remasters" sound exactly the same as originals to me. just generally louder mix, which is not necessarily a good thing

hey guys. sorry for being AWOL for such a long time.
I have updated the sheet at mygnr with whatever I could, including Live Era.
as always - any suggestions for improvements are warmly welcome! smile

well, looks like I'm late to the party again.
my rating of Absurd is 7/10 - it has a nice in-ur-face punchy feeling and I find it entertaining.
with HS - I rate it 5/10. vocals and bass are cool (or kool?), guitars are okay.
drums are utter trash (compared to old Freese's track, this is just laughably simple and takes the original drive far away)
mix sucks
I hate the bridge, it is completely unneccessary, sounds like artificially extending the song playtime
the song has no gradation - the old version was getting forward and the final part was just pure gold of guitar madness - while this just... ends in the same way as the beginning of the song - too bad.
so yeah, 5/10 for me. I don't completely hate it, but also the old version has just more drive to me thanks to much more dynamic drum track, guitarwork and gradation.

the lyrics in this song actually have no real purpose. sure, they were made in a way which sounded aggressive and venom-spitting, but in the end they are not there for someone to actually listen to them.
in this song, they were used more like another musical instrument, to co-play with the rest of the instruments. it doesn't really matter what the singer is singing about, it's there to create another instrumental line (just made of vocals which scream some lyrics).
this is how I can see it.

Very poorly mixed the person put all of ron's guitar just in the left channel so it is pretty much impossible to get it to sound right.

because those files were never intended to be listened by the "end listener" but were made for Ron personally, that's why the channels were mixed that specific way.

besides them not being "friends", they also aren't 20-25 anymore. people seem to ignore that fact quite a lot.

The song was literally described with "the one with the Teen Spirit riff". lol.

the same was said about Chinese Democracy, I think
