Redid solos and a bunch of rhythm parts (notably CD verses). Pretty much exactly what Slash did!
Ron is such a great dude and was literally the only mouthpiece we had for the band post '06. Can't say enough great things about the guy as a person. However, his contributions were so unnecessary to the CD sessions. That's not a knock at him, but further proof that they should have pulled the trigger by 2006 at the latest. After hearing the village sessions and the '07 leaks, there is no reason this saga should have lasted as long as it did. But it is what it is and we don't know every detail, this is only my perspective as an obsessive fan.
With that being said, Ron's vision of writing new music together (you know..as a band) would have produced better results than him going back and adding more layers to tracks that were already on the verge of being over bloated.
No matter how divided the fanbase has been on various topics, i think we can all agree that pulling the trigger on the album anytime between 00 and 06 would have drastically altered the trajectory and success of nu guns.
I like what he added to the song CD but other than that, yeh
#3 Re: Guns N' Roses » Rank the Post CD Songs » 56 weeks ago
1. General and Monsters (assuming they’re “one”)
2. Perhaps (which I didn’t care for the leak, didn’t even keep it on my Phone.)
3. Absurd (and I hated silk worms)
4. Hard Skool (this was the leak I played regularly, but the release just didn’t grab me. It’s fine and all. But it ranks 4 here.)
Taking bucket off of Hard Skool is a fucking crime but at least we have both versions to listen to

These songs are fuckin sick. As fucked up as they are, the last "it's over now" on Monsters makes me feel like everything is gonna be alright haha

Shacklermyrye wrote:Not a huge fan of what Slash did with the Perhaps solo but I actually hope he does replace Brian Mays solo on this if it does come out. I think i'm in the minority that i really like this song, but the solo is a bit bland for me.
The tom drums however sound fucking incredible
Are the locker leaks May? Catcher definitely isn’t the May version and is better for it
The catcher from the locker leaks is definitely May

The Bears are officially on the downward spiral.
This division is going to be a shit show this season. It may be a repeat of the NFC East last season where every team has a losing season but one gets into the playoffs by default.
I don't think the Packers or Vikings will have a losing season. Lions don't look terrible either, just cursed

I like the intro, the breakdown, and the shredding better on the demo, but this is still good. I'll be listening to it all day

"It's in my ass, that's where Hard Skool is, fuckhead....go home!"

Aaron Rodgers looking silly after that atrocious game last Sunday. It's only one game but goddamn it was a bad look. That Monday night game was incredible. I wanna know who the fuckin dummies at ESPN are that thought it was a good idea to put the Peyton and Eli broadcast on ESPN 2.
