It shows the site is still being updated. I don't have an account there anymore so can't login to see the forum but as of right now the site seems active.

The tour is now finished, and no new songs played or released. Hardly surprising, but such a fucking cocktease when Duff said back in May “we’ve got a new song Nothing, coming soon” yet here we are 6 months later, a tour complete, and no new song.

They’re such cunts.

We all know the reason. There's still those who will deny it but it's utterly undeniable. Axl is the reason the band broke up and Axl is the reason a new album is a pipe dream. It's basically that simple. The others are cunts for playing along with the cock tease but we all know who's at fault for the hold up. It's really too bad that Axl did this. And by this I mean all of it. GnR really should have been mentioned among the likes of The Stones, Zeppelin, Queen etc. but they're just not because of Axl. Ironic that the arguably the band's greatest strength is also their greatest weakness and downfall.

I'd argue you could throw Civil War into their brass tacks legacy as well because it seems to be the one GnR song that non GnR fans actually really like. I know people who actually don't like GnR at all but will always ad a disclaimer by saying Civil war actually kicks ass. So although not nearly as well known as the other songs mentioned here of course it does have that broad appeal to non GnR fans the way a lot of other songs don't it seems.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the first real leak was Catcher in the Rye in early 2006 no? Before the Hammerstein shows? Possibly 2005?

I think that pretty much goes for most every country song. Simple life experiences and pleasures. Guy met a girl who was into GNR late night at a bar and they lived happily ever after.

Yeah, but the whole weaving in GN'R song titles part.

I would imagine because if the song is written from a real life experience then that's kinda what happened. Having said that, the narrative of the song says meeting her took place in 1987, which means Don't Cry hadn't been released yet so he must have met the world's biggest GnR fan for her to have said "Sweet Child O'Mine is ok but have you heard Don't Cry?"  The song also says she knew every B-Side so who knows.

I think it's a good song. As for why would you write a song like this? I don't know. Why would you write a song like My World or Get in the Ring? lol Or hell even Welcome to the Jungle? Why would you write any song?

Where is Bono?

Hope he comes back.

MLS has always come off as a cunt I’ll say!

I thought I read in another thread everyone here also thought Bono was a cunt. MLS was some insider from what I understand. Kinda seemed like he bought into his own hype or something

#8 Re: The Sunset Strip » Madonna » 120 weeks ago

I can promise you without a shadow of a doubt it's her most iconic song and it's THE ONE song she has that if you play it at a club or a party or a wedding or anything that people will dance to it more so than any other song she has.  It's the song of hers that stands the test of time better than any other song she has. Chart wise maybe not but longevity wise it absolutely it is.

Perhaps a lot of that has to do with the controversy surrounding the video and all that but the intro to the song, the beat, the lyrics. It's her biggest song based on how it's stood the test of time.  Vogue isn't getting the same response as Like a Prayer at any event in 2023 and 25 years later neither is Ray of Light, which I believe was her last mega hit. that song was everywhere at the time, but not now.

Like a Prayer is Madonna's biggest song.

Guns “and” Roses? This was approved by Team Brazil for manufacturing?

The full extent of their incompetence is astonishing.

hahahahaha! One of my big pet peeves is when I see people type Guns and Roses and here we have now official GnR merch with it spelled that way. pathetic,.

As for the single Perhaps, it's impossible to even get excited about it. The song title itself isn't even convinced.
