Can somebody explain to me why people think TWAT is so hard to sing? It certainly isn’t as hard as Locomotive or Coma.

I assume it's the screams near the end. Other than that...yeah I don't see the problem.

IRS would be in a similar category.

Is it just me or has Axl shed a few pounds?

Yeah he looks a little better than last tour. Hopefully there's a reason for it....

Yeah a video or accompanying photoshoot for a release of some kind perhaps ?

That Madrid show looks a killer crowd. Pretty full looking venue as well

Wow. They played November Rain, Estranged, TWAT, This I Love, and Locomotive all in the same set, out of a 33 song long set. I’m impressed that they’re busting out so many epics, lesser played UYI tracks, and playing for so long.

But at the same time, they were just here in Australia 6 months ago, 5 years after the 2017 Oz tour, and we should’ve gotten some of these songs thrown our way.

The only difference between 2017 and 2022 for us was Hardschool and Absurd, and maybe one or two others.

But this is GN’R, always doing the minimum effort until they randomly don’t.

Hoping this is leading up to something…

Feel the exact same. I went to 2 identical shows within 3 days and was served up a near identical set to 2017

I'm guessing it's some kind of leak strategy via management also.

Sounds good indeed - is that Axl sampled and patched in there? I'm guessing he wasn't present at soundcheck...

It actually sounded like he’s singing over a backing track but in a low register. Could be wrong but I liked what I heard. Slash’s guitar is phenomenal from what’s there. Like he’s made this song his own

I like that Slash has busted out the talk box for the solo. Gives it a classic Guns sound

Oh i didn’t catch the talk box - you sure it’s talk box?
Sounds more like semi pinched harmonics to me but I could be wrong

The demo of Perhaps - the chorus sounds a mess. I hope they have sorted that out - one of the factors is the layered vocals and the way it's mixed. I hope it's addressed in the mix or that Axl might have even looked at a more cohesive melody. Not confident given Axl's aversion to recording studios mind...

Seeing on another forum that The General could be State of Grace or at least some portion of it. Have often wondered that myself . Wouldn’t be disappointed (other than the fact it would be nice to hear something we’ve not heard before) as I think it’s the bones at least of a strong track.

I guess when I think of his vision I think of it  as bringing the classic Guns sounds into a new modern era.  He waited so long however , that the musical landscape had changed several times and by the time the damn thing came out, a lot of it sounded dated. It certainly had avant garde, experimental elements - it would have been cutting edge in about 1995.

Prostitute for me was the exception. It encapsulates all of those newer elements while still sounding timeless. Best song on the record for me.

Prostitute is just about the only track that lived up to the hype for me. Actually delivers on the promise that Axl’s vision spoke to

Are you sure she didn’t mean anything goes like “spontaneous” as opposed to the actual song ?

Even if we give her/them the benefit of the doubt....it's still bullshit.

Remember...it's been anything goes for years. Both Duff and Fortus recently claimed GNR does not have a set list..and has never had a set list. The show is 10000% spontaneous.

It's just a bizarre coincidence that they play the exact same songs in the exact same fucking order year after year.... and the set lists fans have seen are merely a mirage.... nothing more.

Oh the “spontaneous, no set list” trope is complete bullshit, absolutely. The last time played a spontaneous show was we 1991 I reckon
