#91 Re: Guns N' Roses » Did you buy Chinese Democracy single on Itunes? » 867 weeks ago
I bought it this morning. It felt awesome to be getting the first "legal" song from GNR in a very long time.

Thank you. I don't know what to say. This whole thing is really real. The artwork it pretty cool. I love being able to read the words to the songs I've been listening to for so long. I have a newfound love for Street of Dreams. And soon I'll be HOLDING this in my hands. Man, its still all surreal....

Wow. This whole thing is getting real. Can someone send me the booklet please? The songs I can wait for, but I'd love to see the booklet.

I don't post here that often. I mainly come to read and just digest everyone else's words. Your post really hits home with me. I spent so much time in high school defending Guns N Roses, and Axl Rose. I've spent so much time backing a band that hasn't really done anything. I'll defend Axl Rose with my last breath if I have to. And after so many false starts, and so many maybes, this really, honestly, actually might possibly be happening. And I don't know what to feel. I tell the few people I have who will actually listen to me that the cd is coming out, and I get the same thing I've gotten for so many years. Yeah, uh huh, sure. To actually HAVE the cd in my hands.........I don't know. I'll probably be numb. inside right now I am screaming and so excited and can't wait for it to be here. I think what makes me sad is that I have no one to tell that believes me.
As for my timeline, I graduated high school, went through a semester of college, went to trade school and left, moved close to a dozen times, went through four relationships, got married, had my ten year high school reunion in August, and am now in the process of getting a divorce and currently living on my own. Been through eight cars, lost both my grandfathers, stopped talking to my best friend of ten years, have 30 tattoos. And that's just off the top of my head. It just amazes me how much has gone on, yet the one constant was always waiting for this album to come out. And while it'll feel totally awesome to finally have it and be able to say I told you so, its going to feel weird. I know one thing, I can't wait to see what happens next. I've been on the ride this long, there's no getting off now.
#95 Re: Guns N' Roses » Who's still listening to the leaks & SR? » 873 weeks ago
I listen to the 9 leaks every now and then, when the mood strikes me. I heard SR when the Youtube video was posted, and it sounded alright. I go through phases where somedays I want to hear just GNR and other days I'm not in the mood.
#96 Re: Guns N' Roses » Time Magazine considers the leaks Chinese Democracy » 887 weeks ago
I don't know. I mean, we've been here before with leaks getting out and magazines reviewing them and pestering about the album and such. On the other hand, this is TIME magazine. This is a well-respected magazine reviewing something that GNR fans have been waiting a very long time for. The press has jumped on board before, got tired of waiting, and everything went quiet again. So here we are, again, with different versions of songs and new ones we haven't heard yet. And the media jumps all over it, again. And we sit and wait for Axl and Universal and whoever else to say something about the songs. In the meantime things roll along and the songs get reviewed and passed around. *sigh* James, I admire you're conviction. You're exactly how I used to be, how I still want to be. I have spent so much time hoping and wondering and getting all excited. Do I hope this is what pushes Chinese Democracy to be released? Absolutely. Do I think it will happen? I don't know anymore. I always said I would never give up, that I would stand by Axl and GNR til the bitter end. But having stuff like this happen and not hear ANYTHING makes me very disheartened and sad.
#97 Re: Guns N' Roses » Two year "anniversary" of the Hammerstein show(s) » 893 weeks ago
Wow two years already?? I almost wound up missing the shows. Had it not been for the extra two nights i would have. I booked my first ever trip to Disney the same weekend. I came home Saturday, and was at the concert Sunday night. My second time ever getting to see GNR live, the first was MSG in '02. I agree, everything seemed so close back then. Who knew two years later we'd still be waiting??
#98 Re: Guns N' Roses » So who on here would go to a GNR reunion? » 896 weeks ago
I'd go. The only live GNR I have seen in person is 02 and 06. So I'd be there, most likely at the first show. I don't have much but I would sell everything I have to get there.

...Axl was un-frozen, only to find out that the only exisiting musicians left on earth just happened to be Slash, Duff, Matt, and Izzy. They all found out Axl was going to freeze himself, so they decided as a gag to do the same thing. The five of them stood in the room together and.........
