You know the MSL is legit when its forbidden to be talked about on the big three sites. That is what always happens. That is why its easily to assume Ron could be close to being fired because jarmos and erics have forbidden anyone to talk about that.

You know what's funny? Every piece of Gnr information that's ever leaked has been the result of either MSL, an unknown insider, or some other source that isn't exactly verifiable. Being a Gnr fan is sifting through the bullshit, banning the trolls, and discussing the validity of the plausible.
What's changed now?

Yeah. Those fake leaks of The Blues, Chinese Democracy, etc were well made, but really turned out to be BS once the album dropped.

YEah the annoying thing with that guys post was he appeared to spam all the gnr boards with the same post then disappeared. As you say Irish he posted it like it was factul, but he didn't even bother to hang around to at least answer questions or try and substantiate what he was saying.
It was classic trolling activity which is presumably what added weight to locking the thread. Note also that the thread/post was locked - not deleted, you could still read it. The same post was done at all the other boards but got deleted!
That's important to note, but everything he said was extremely plausible. Why would all these boards be acting similarly?
Using past evidence and applying Occam's Razor... I'm not so sure he was just a troll.
That being said, it's incredibly douchey and annoying behavior on his part to spam boards and not provide any more information.

Yeah sure, it def makes more sense in the context of the other information, its the stating things as fact with the fake insider slant that is so old.
Not to say its not true, just don't state it as unless you can prove it.I'm too tired now to think/post staight but I hope you get the gist of what I'm saying.
I agree. But we hardly had a chance to press the guy for more info, or to even see if it panned out as true.

That's disrespectful? Look, I understand that Ron has an image, cultivated or genuine, of being a cool dude, and that he's a member here and has in the past graciously answered our questions. I love his contributions to the album and think he's a supremely underrated live performer.
That being said, every single member of this band has had worse things said about them in this forum. Good lord, I think I've said things about Finck that would have me jailed in many middle eastern countries if they were said about a dictator.
Are we treating him differently because of his "status" here? Is that not de facto censorship? We aren't allowed to discuss him in the same manner as others simply because he has a seldom used account at Gnrevo?
Don't get me wrong, this is by far the best Gnr board ever, and I would never compare it to HTGTH or Mygnr, but I question the motivations behind the actions, respectfully.

It very may well be that there's more to the story but at this time its hearsay and as such is perfectly understandable for his thread to be locked. If the site tolerated threads like that, this forum would be a total clusterfuck.
Hearsay and speculation is 99% of what Gnr fans have done/consumed since 1994.
I'm not saying that anything goes, necessarily, but I really don't think this necessitates a lock. There's plenty to legitimately speculate about. The fake insider stuff is iffy, but it's not really inconceivable, unheard of, or difficult to accept as true.
He's not claiming that Beta is going to join as a 4th guitarist or that Tommy got a stinky pinky from Sasha or anything -- he's just claiming, as has been the case historically, that Axl is being a prima donna and pulling the strings for a number of online sites.
Sure, you can dismiss that as unfounded, and perhaps it is, but don't tell me that you don't believe there's something more to what's happening at Mygnr.
All I'm saying is that there's plenty to talk about, dissect, and speculate about, and hardly any reason to lock threads.
And where exactly was Ron disrespected?

When Eric at Mygnr locked the thread about Ron, didn't he allude to things "we didn't know about?"
I think we shouldn't readily dismiss the "someone is in big trouble" post. I think it's clear that there's much more going on than we realize.
Obviously, he could be making up his insider BS, and this board is all the better for discouraging things like that, but what is being a GnR fan without rampant speculation? Hell, what else are going to talk about? Richard Fortus' distortion pedal interviews?
