Being the terminator movie fanboy that I am, I actually need to point out that this is actually the 6th terminator movie and not the 3rd lol. However it is the 3rd in the timeline of the movies because this movie is ignoring everything that happened in the sequels that have been made since T2. The reason I wanted to clear that up is because back when T3 was made there was a lot of rumors floating around back then that Axl was approached about having a GNR song appear on that soundtrack because of him being friends with Arnold. Ultimately it didn't happen so here's to hoping that it happens this time!

How long was the Atlas song, I listened to it on YT but not sure its there anymore, wasn't it only like 4:30 or something. I beleive the 'talk' was it was an epic.
Lemme put on my *Conspiracy Theory Hat* for Randall Flagg here again, and opine that maybe it's all a ruse to get people back into it, and an album or vault outtakes does get put out this year. I'm skeptical & not waiting on one, but, it would totally make sense (to me) to just take a dozen tracks from 10-15 years ago & put them out as an outtakes or 'What if...' type. Honestly, I'd even dig a mini box set or double album of 20-30. Just put it out there, like Brian Wilson. Didn't Prince supposedly have a vault of tracks when he passed away.
Yeah, Prince had a vault full of unreleased material. I'm not sure if it was released yet but I know on iTunes there was a pre-order for a compilation of some of Prince's unreleased songs. I'm with you, I'd love any type of release and while the last time songs leaked such as the MSL batch an album was released shortly thereafter, now that nearly 11 years have passed since the release of CD it's hard for me to be optimistic about another release even with the leaks that have occurred over the last year such as the CD remixes and Hard School. Personally though at this point I think the only way we will hear unreleased songs like The General and Atlas Shrugged is if they leak.

Wasn't Atlas supposed to be on CD but was ultimately cut from the album due to the overall runtime of the album being too long? If so, going by the clip of Atlas it's a shame that other tracks were kept on the album *cough* Rhiad *cough* instead of Atlas.

I'm sure there are some crazy stories of how some of these leaks were obtained from hoarders. Perhaps a story along the lines of Walter Sobchak in the big Lebowski, where his plan was to fill the ransom bag with pairs of underwear rather than actual money LOL.

For instance, like what went down at this site with its 1st year creator (Essentially he just gave up & dropped it one day and it shut down, Kinda, there may be more to it but thats the jist of it), we all logged on & it was gone (found out back on HTGTH subforum kinda bout what happened & those who worked to get one back online). I'm sure MyGnr has its stories & issues. The one that closed (cd.com or gnfnr.com?) & of course HTGTH being the king & almighty of all Guns forums.
Just the whole concept of grown ass men following a message board for 15-20 years on Guns N Roses, a band who put out really 1 album since 1991 is hysterical. Kinda like comic book nerds, Trekkies, or baseball card collectors. Alot of people would have never guessed there even are GnR message boards (or fans diehard enough to follow). I spoke to someone who plays guitar about Bohemian Rhapsody movie, and he said he's a big Brian May fan. I asked him if here ever heard or knew of the CITR solo? He had no idea what I was talking about and laughed when I said there's ppl on the Guns N Roses message boards who were pissed it didn't make the CD album, and that its like the holy grail of post-Slash GnR solo's. I sounded like a flake.
The whole MSL 2006 swindle is an amazing story.
Anyway, its kinda like one of those dumb thoughts, but I think it is pretty remarkable & would be eye opening to most of the public.
LOL I myself am one of those grown ass men that is on the GNR message boards. The one thing I always wondered about the people on the various forums I've been on over the years that have thousands of posts was how many of them have those posts because they are actually people that are knowledgeable about either Guns N' Roses, unreleased material, are a person with inside scoops on what the rest of us didn't know as opposed to the other people with thousands of posts that simply have thousands of posts by commenting on everything they possibly can just to drive that number of posts up so that people will think they are some kind of an insider?

Oh dude, Hard School?? It's like Top 5 on CD I'd think. Personally the 1 minute leak was a bit better than the song, the best minute lol, but the songs solid. Better than Chinese Democracy the song, the list goes on but yeah it beats half the songs on CD for sure. Could've been a change of era, myb Axl felt it was more a post-UYI lineup or late 90s/2002 track. I dunno, but the song rocks.

LOL good question about the guitar solo. Yep, could've been top 5 on CD I'll agree with you there. I'll bet if we are fortunate enough to have Atlas leak that we will be saying the same thing about that song as well. I think this would've been a great single release to build hype for the release of CD.

i'm in the minority, but I actually enjoy the remixes LOL. Then again I enjoy listening to anything new from GNR....by new we'll go with unreleased since nothing has been released since the 2012 Vegas residency live album.
