Population Override is right up there too..
Yeah, this has gotta be my second favorite.
As is Thanatopsis: Axiology
Just listened to this, good stuff!
Damn, he's got so much good stuff.
So true.

Basically a tie between Colma and Electric Tears. Praxis- Transmutation is amazing as well.
I am also mainly into his mellow material.
Check out Electric Sea next.
Good choices.
I'd probably say Giant Robot off the cuff even though it's more musically sparse in comparison to some of his others.
I need to re-listen to that. I remember liking the Morricone / A Few Dollars More inspired track.

Hames what is your favorite Buckethead album?

Do you like Slash's guitar style on AFD or UYI1 or are you more of a CD man?
I ask cos the guitar style he uses seems very similar to me on those 3 records.
Yeah, I like Slash. I'm more of a Buckethead fan than a Slash fan but I still do enjoy him.
There were some good riffs on the record but none of it had a space to breathe. It was just bam bam bam. One thing I love about AFD and the VR stuff I like is there's good pacing.

Another killer album is A Real Diamond in the Rough.
Its right up there with Colma and Electric Tears.
It's good, I like it.
I've listened to a good chunk of his softer, ambient stuff. That was my starting point when I first got into Bucket.
I listen to Diamond and Shadows Between the Sky quite a bit.

I went Jungle.
I was really hoping Chinese Democracy would be a lot like the Jungle music video, which made me a fan.
So basically Civil War. With industrial synth.

Have you heard his Rainy Days pike? If not, check it out.
Yep, I went hard in the paint on one of those Pike sales.
I'll be honest, I rarely listen to them, especially in comparison to his regular albums which I listen to pretty regularly.

Duran Duran - All You Need Is Now
Beck - Midnite Vultures
Random Ozzy tracks

Have you heard Condensed Chicken Noodles? It borders on elevator music but I love it.
I've been listening to this before bed the last couple of nights, really good stuff. Thanks for the recommendation.

Have a listen to those guitar parts though. With Axl songs like Dime Store Rock, Soma City Ward and others would have been very much like GNR's rockers.
I will maybe listen to it again a long time from now but I really didn't like it.
Both the vocals and guitars are assaulting you and not in a good way.
I didn't care for the style. Felt like Slash doing Metallica, Skynyrd, and Alice In Chains.
