Axl should have went the solo route with this thing. I agree that aside from a couple of tracks. Out of the 11 songs we've heard thus far there is no instant classics in there except maybe CITR or CD. This album will not be earth shattering and will not revolutionize music. It'll be a good album. Nothing more, nothing else. And because of that it'll be received badly by the critics. They'll say 10 years for this? And they're right. Had this been released in 2000 or 2002 it would've been received differently. And the 3 unheard tracks can't save this album or make it phenomenal. Sad but true. But I still say it'll be a good album.

He isn't marketable because he isn't in the band. My post was actually referring to current guitarists. We already know he was marketable while in the band. During the dead years, articles mentioned him just as much as they mentioned Axl.
Oh if he ain't in the band then I agree with you. I was actually supposing if he would come back.

ive slowed down a little on the leaks, as i used to kick the shit out of em (except blues and maddy which i hate). I should really hit em on the head and wait, but im still on the fence that this fucker is comin out finally..i dont care what the evidence supports, end of the day it could just end in a millisecond..
I used to hate Maddy and The Blues too until I heard them live. The solo in Maddy while you hear MLK is killer.

I agree. Bucket is the only one that has a chance if he's in the band. And James I disagree. Bucket is very marketable perhaps even more than Slash if done right. Remember he's a mysterious guy that doesn't give interviews and people would be fascinated by him.

Optimism says the unknown Scraped. CD would be great though, and Better would be a fine choice if not very surprising.
Am I the only one that thinks Better is a weak track? Everybody seems to rave on that song and yet I never was able to completely like it.

...at least i dont expect it too..itll just be a band confrimation that the albu, will be out and a solidification of the release date and tracklist
Still better than nothing. Or better than that GNR reacts to the arrest. Not mentioning the new album on their site makes it seem like it's being released against Axl's wishes.

CD is a good choice. But I'd go with Catcher. Judging by the demo, the final version should be awesome. Yeah it's a ballad but this could actually be a hit for GNR. JMO.

Why exactly do we need a press release? What more can we gain from it?
To clear some things up. Is this the first album of a trilogy? Will we have to wait 14 years for part 2? Is there gonna be some bonus with CD? If so what? Why did it take so long? Is there gonna be a tour? If so who's in the band? What is the deal with Robin? Those are some things he can get answered amongst other things.

I have a funny story on this. I ordered a couple other things when I ordered CD on the Canadian bestbuy site. Anyways I called afterwards to make sure they would ship everything on the 23 or 24th of Nov instead of shipping the other things seperately. Anyways the lady at customer service said that CD will be shipped differently in case it doesn't come out. I laughed when she said that and I told her I wouldn't be surprised if that happened. She just said they were cautious about it. I just thought it was funny she said that it would ship seperately so that I would get everything else if it would not come out.
It is funny that she said that, but they would ship everything seperate regardless because they aren't going to hold the rest of your order back while you're waiting for a pre-order.
I ordered Primus's They can't all be zingers and that is out of stock. The rest is in stock so they'll wait for Primus and send me the rest and then in another order I'll get CD. But I still laughed when she said IF it comes out. Makes you wonder how sure BB is of actually getting to sell this album.

That Axl will release some mega-press release that will explain the past, present & future of this album's release, down to every little detail including alternate artwork, and potential bonuses involved with the release.
I was kidding Axlin. I knew what you were saying and I hope we get a statement soon. But considering what Mysteron said I agree with Buzzsaw. We might have to wait 15 years for that as well.
