Is there an MP3 download for this?

What was the original source?

Don't forget that both Live Era and Greatest Hits (not to mention the cancelled Very Best Of) were released because Axl wouldn't pony up the dough.

Well good momentum aside, Axl himself dusted off the "soon is not the word" line for that Chinese Exchange thing.

That said and they can do what they please but to regain any sense of mainstream relevancy beyond with old fans, they need to get to stepping with releasing music.

I also doubt that a GH / Best Of would change their situation with the label. The label owns all of the Chinese Sessions probably in addition to some sort of X albums contract. I remember Prince shitting out albums purely to get around the latter in the 90s.

Since we're on the topic of tour issues, the audio processing / backing track Axl uses has messed up or he's missed his mark a couple of times.

I noticed it in Detroit and again on him doing Chinese.

I'd love new music.

We beggars cannot be choosers.

I wonder what songs it will be (Chinese stuff vs. old Guns stuff) and if they plan on releasing that music separately. Like are they doing fan service on some B-level or C-level tracks or is this like releasing a digital single.

Not gonna lie, I was hoping for time off & an album release next year, then a new tour announced. neutral  This continuation sh!t could just on on indefinitely like the 2010ish CD GnR tours

Well, they might as well make hay while the sun shines – you only get one shot at doing the reunion tour. From a financial standpoint it makes sense to milk it for all it's worth in all the available territories (USA, South America, Asia/Australasia, Europe) and then do an album (and tour that!).

It's one of those "it makes sense in the head but not in the heart" things.

That said, this news is unsurprising. The timeline just doesn't make sense. They're not going to release an album and hit a small portion of US dates in support of it. It'll be album released synced up to a U.S. Tour.

Maybe they'll play new songs in South America as prep work like they did in 2001-2002. Speaking of, the New GN'R lineups managed to make hay consistently in Europe and Asia, so you'd think they're going to make a killing with Slash and Duff back in the fold. So Fall 2017 at the earliest to even think about a new album, one would guess.

This assuming they want to release an album, have it ready to go, worked out whatever they're doing or not doing with the Chinese material, and the business side of things have been worked out.

I was always interested in those short song titles like Zodiac, Seven, and Thyme.

The intro to The General definitely makes me excited for Marco Beltrami's contributions as well.

I designed an album cover and full booklet for "Stay of Execution" based off that trademark from a couple of years back.

I was inspired by the clean look of the "Use Your Illusion" booklet but wanted to marry it with the rawness of the Appetite era and the fine art imagery of the Chinese Democracy era.

I took the publicized song titles and little information about the unreleased songs, filled in the lyrics from CD songs, and then just used my imagination, creativity, and design background to come up with the full booklet.

What do you guys think?

If GNR were to release a new album, what musical direction would you like to see them explore?

I need a 2002 studio version of CD just for that little synth line at the beginning.
