Chris:"I rocked vox with the guy at the place for the thing today. wonderful guy. rock&roll super hero. proud to be doin the stuff for his thing!!"

Slash:"I've got a R & R icon coming in to do vocals today, I wish I could say who it is"

Looks like Chris Cornell has been leaving cryptic twitters about working with a certain "rock n roll hero"   on his page. Looks like its slash the phrase rock n roll hero and also the whole fact that Slash is recording right now for the record

It'll never see the light of day.

The single is dead.
The album is dead.
There's no scheduled tour.

What's there to promote? And regardless of what the diehards think, a re-release will NOT see a single re-release of CD or Better. They'll go with something else and videos for something else - IF - it happens.

Good to see your staying positive. Its a scientific fact that bitchin about the lack of a Tour Video Promotional campaign etc. does not cause a single one of those things to manifest.

SO that concert went ahead and Morello actually took to the stage with 3/4 of sound garden. Chris was playing in Chile but the rest all got back together with a different vocalist and Tom on guitar.....   What a crazy mess..... Tom stabbing back at chris.... The rest f soundgarden doing the same... I don't know if thats what even happened.. take a look for yourselves

The first time I started looking for GNR on the web was when they had "more details soon" and a GNR logo for about 4 years.

It used to drive me crazy too. I used to got to gnrlies for all my news... then around 2005-ish ROV hit the net and then gnrev I haven't looked back since.... Crazy to think I used to post my thoughts about chinese democracy on gnrlies.com and that site would eventually shut down before the album even had a solid release date!

EDIT:
www.gnrlies.com    wow last update was about the I.R.S '01 version leak back in '06 !!!!!

That just puts this thing in perspective

Interesting. Wonder why Freese left...

He's a session musician he moves from project carving a career rather than being in just one band or working with just one person

#1048 Re: Guns N' Roses » The Official "DJ Ashba" Web Page » 859 weeks ago

DJ Ashba seems to be a very well conceived of Brand. There is a lot of branding goin on on that site. It's a site fit for the likes of a U2 or Metallica. Its very well done and it
elevates DJ to a symbol (kinda like Batman smile).

Perfectly put together I have been going there since I got the SIXX A.M. album last July and although some sections promise more content than they deliver it is still a beautifully symmetrical site.

I am delighted they picked Ashba. HE was the guy I have been hoping for since robin went back to NIN, but I never thought it would actually happen

They are most definitely touring this year.
Reasons:
1. They would not have chosen to replace Robin unless they were definite that they were touring. IN FACT I'm guessing it was Azoff who pushed for a replacement for Robin so the tour could go ahead. Think when buckethead left they waited 2 years for him to come back and only replaced him when they were going out on a tour. Robin was just as big a part of Gnr they would have waited for him.

2. Sixx A.M. are not on Crue Fest this year. There must be a very good reason as to why this is the case as one third of that group is on that tour and it wouldn't take much to get the other 2 on board as they are very close with Nikki and the Crue. They are not touring because Ashba is touring with Gnr. Whats more is that the Crue Fest 2 lineup was announced about 3 weeks ago so they have known for about 3 weeks that Ashba was joining Gnr.

3. A. Metal sludge said Roxie was in the running for Fincks spot; They were right. B. Metal sludge said Ashba was most likely candidate; they were right. C. Metal sludge say Gnr will tour with Van halen this summer; they are PROBABLY right there too.

4. The press release directly mentions touring duties "expanding the tapestry of Guns N' Roses Live".

Dude, I don't think any of your reasons supported the theory that they are "definitely touring" this year.

1. Robin was not a "big part" of GNR. The dude was on the payroll. Just like all these bitches have been post 97'. Maybe he played an intricate role to a couple couple forum nerds, but I hardly consider that a "big part" of anything. The dude is gone. He sucked to begin with. Good riddance.

2. As far as Sixx A.M. - how do you know that the decision wasn't made not to tour with Crue this summer prior to DJ Assknocker's decision to play bitch for a gnr summer tour? You don't. Hardly a "definitely touring" theory.

3. Sometimes Metal Sludge is right. Sometimes they aren't. Axl may tour with VH this summer, but "probably" anything doesn't mean "definitely" anything. This is Axl Rose here. If you haven't noticed, he's king of dropping the ball and disappointing his fans.

4. 'Expanding the tapestry of GNR live' just sounds like an excuse to cash in on the name. If he wants an even remotely successful tour, he'll play AFD, Lies, UYIs. Throw in a couple Chinese tracks for piss break purposes.

Its obvious they are planning a tour. Try expand your vocabulary "dude".
