I disagree.

Axl cemented himself as one of my favorite people of all time for that post. I don't have any sympathy for power-loving bullies who insult and berate other people and don't change their ways after they're called out on their shit. Zero. None. Nada. I signed up for MyGNR in 2002 after getting into GNR and quickly stopped posting because of her and people like her.

IIRC she was trying to play insider at the Slash t-shirt scenario like she had special knowledge from management and Axl's post was letting everyone know she was full of shit and generally not highly regarded.

Why do we have to choose between Izzy and Fortus again?

Of course Izzy is the more accomplished / proven songwriter. Although (1) that doesn't mean he's good for GN'R in 2016 and whatever the band's / Axl's plans are musically (2) It doesn't mean he's good for the backstage Feng Shui. If he's going to create tension or clash with Axl, it doesn't make sense to have him on board.

The old lineup dissolved for a reason. Too many cooks in the kitchen, everyone grasping at power, etc.

Hmm, I'll have to listen to this again.

I've never been a big Beatles nerd so I more or less listened around CITR.

Do we know what happened with Robin?

Outside of NIN being greener pastures after a decade of frustration and wasted time?

The gist of that interview seemed to be "touring was fun, made some good memories after proving myself" but "holy shit that was fucking awful".

Will check this out.

I'd really like a guitar-driven Robin solo album.

Fortus did a pretty amazing on the Buckethead solo on "Chinese Democracy" on this show.

I hope higher quality versions get out there.

#1079 Re: Guns N' Roses » The Set-List » 479 weeks ago

I'm not going to try to play setlist doctor about what flows better but personally, I have no desire to hear Knockin or LALD ever again. Your average concert go-er may feel differently but I've heard those songs a billion times since the 90s.

I love "The Seeker", personally. I downloaded it and listen to it on my runs everyday.

When they played it in Detroit, you could tell the whole band, especially Axl dug playing it. There was a giant shift in energy when they kicked it off.

#1080 Re: Guns N' Roses » The Set-List » 479 weeks ago

The beginning of the set is different than it was 2002-2014 IIRC, they're playing deeper cuts, and still including CD material.

It's a diverse setlist and one of the best shows in the music industry, not to mention the longest, which helps justify it's costs.

The only ones complaining are the same old miserable trolls and it's a shame a passerby would take that as the "GN'R community".
