Yeah, I mean those figures are impressive for any artist, but especially for a band with only two proper albums. No one else on that list can claim those sales.

I wonder if they'll fake this, too.

Yeah, I'm still watching. It gets better and better. This past week the FBI agent confronted Dr. Silberman. It was cool. This next episode coming up is in fact the season finale already. It's really two episodes back to back, starting at 8PM. I don't know why FOX is pushing it off the air so quickly. A bad sign? I thought the ratings were really good. Critics and fans have really liked it. I mean, I realize it must be one of the more expensive shows to produce. Maybe they're just making way for more American Idol. Figures.

I have to agree with U2. Now keep in mind I've had the albums and I've seen them live. Personally, U2's best era was the 90s, Achtung Baby and beyond. Once they got embarassed by taking too many chances and releasing a really cool album like POP, they sort of de-evolved into a less earnest version of their 80s selves. They sold themselves out in a sad way. I still don't get the hype of them being the greatest band in the world. Maybe the most captivating, for a time, but now they just bore me.

Nirvana. I like Nirvana here and there. What's overrated isn't their cultural significance, but their artistry. They're simply not that groundbreaking a band. They were the most marketable and commercially appealing of that "sound." Pearl Jam is the greatest grunge era band. Pearl Jam should be remembered as legends, not Nirvana. Nirvana didn't usher in a sound, they were MTV's face for a sound already gaining popularity. If they were simply highly regarded and remembered for being part of a cultural turning point, then no they wouldn't be overrated. But they're treated like gods and Kurt Cobain like some martyr prophet. But again, this is all just my own opinion.

Axl had taken them all on as "employees." Before showtime, Axl had already made his way to the venue, but was taking his time assessing how this massive new band would properly take the stage. After all, since the return of Brain he'd basically rebuilt this thing, replacing everyone in the crew ... every little thing. When asked if they'd be ready to go on soon, Axl answered he didn't know if "soon" was the word and promptly fled the venue, running nude through the streets until he killed and skinned a deer with his bare hands, clothed himself in its carcass, and "accidentally" crashed Rosario Dawson's birthday party. That's when all hell broke loose....

Well, I could be stuck in the D-list myself. But c'mon, you've never heard of Halford?!

#1077 Re: The Sunset Strip » Most Recent Movie You've Seen » 904 weeks ago

Last movie I had the time to really sit down and watch was Crank. It wasn't that bad at all. Fun. Amy Smart is cute. Jason Statham is proving himself something of a credible badass. It's really not my type of movie, so it was a nice change of pace.

Megadeth is little more than a cult thrash band for those of us cool enough to know Mustaine's been making better music than Metallica for years now. I love Megadeth, but they don't have huge sales. Never did. Green Day is one of the top selling rock bands of the past decade or more, so I don't consider them on a B-list of any sort, despite what some of our opinions of them may be.

See, real B-list bands that I enjoy are bands like Deadsy, Emigrate, Fight/Halford/2wo, Lizzy Borden....

I think some of you are confusing A-list with legendary.

I went out drinking last night for the first time in awhile because I've been sick all week. I'm still sick, but it was fun. I also had the intentions of working on a script at the same time. That didn't happen. Tonight my throat feels especially fucked up and I'm back home to watch the Oscars.
