I don't think that anyone was really bashing the record company, but its pretty much a general consensus that they are the reason for the delay the last couple of months since the record has been done.
Granted a lot of the delay of not having this record can be placed on Axl's shoulders, but the fact remains he doesn't owe anyone anything. Was the carrot dangled in front of us? Yes. Does life go on? Yes.
As much as I would have had liked to have the album now or years ago, it's Axl's life dude. Once art is released that's when it becomes 'someone elses'. He can do whatever he wants and whether we think that's fair or not it's not our business.
Blaming anyone isn't going to help the situation. Go live your life.

I bet the whole record company bashing takes off soon. Its not like the 'official' forum has done anything to stop it.

So lets get this straight Axl's finally handed the album in, 14 YEARS after the last one and now people are making a big song and dance about how the record company are treating the fans like shit?
I hate the waiting as much as the next person, but I don't see how the record company is at fault for the bulk of the delay. In fact, if it wasn't for the record company pampering Axl's whims and huge budget we probably wouldn't have even had a look in at Chinese Democracy.
And I hope Axl ./ the band keep their mouths shut about the record company. Because it will seem pathetic if they start whining about it. What they need to do is start talking about the music rather than their missing property.

I do think Axl should have appeared in LIAB video. That would have really got everyone talking, probably more than being on the album would have. Axl could have played a bad ass with attitude too, setting the stage for Chinese Democracy.

I love Steven Tyler, but you're right about this and that just sucks.
If he's written the songs, then he's perfectly entitled to do what he's done and who are we to contest that.
In fact I'd rather hear Aerosmith on tv and other places if it means I don't have to listen to the usual crap! As long as its not some of their later stuff mind you.

Love the old shit Into the Lungs of Hell, In My Darkest Hour etc etc, Rust in Peace was great as was Countdown to Extinction. Overall a solid band but RIP line up was the best.

Every day it feels more and more like the Grand Finale. There's absolutely nothing to look forward to at the moment. Even Baz has shut up now, and rumours are constrained to a four word e-mail reply from the part time rhythm guitarist in GNR. 'You heard right Greg'. Gee thanks for that.
Maybe its just the January Blues. We used to talk about the calm before the storm, now its just starting to feel like the calm before the calm.
IMO they have 2-3 months to do something, or the hard core fans will wither away. In some sense I wish they would, the bands done fuck all for ages now, so why should we give a shit. Maybe the forums should not even bother with the new band, instead reminisce on good times past. Collectively ignore any talk of leaks, forthcoming tours or anything to do with the new band. Just talk about Axl, Slash, Duff, Izzy and Steven. See how Mr A likes that.
Sorry, rant over. I'll be back tomorrow full of enthusiasm probably!
