I gotta go with Faulk

Although this just feels a bit odd, because everyone on the list is pretty spectacular.

I have to say Thurman Thomas.  He did some good things but it is his fumbles that are hard to forget.  Buffalo had an amazing three run Superbowl appearance but came away empty handed each time.  Thomas' fumbles were a large contributor to this unfortunate legacy.

Thomas is not the reason they lost those SBs. If Norwell makes that kick, Thomas is the clear MVP of that game. No question. And the next two the Bills didn't really get close, partially because of him but largely due to passing game problems and the D. And the 4th Super Bowl, well his fumble is a bad play and certainly a turning point in the game, but it really was a matter of time before they gave that game away too. And don't forget he was injured in the playoffs on the way to their third, and missed the Comeback game for three quarters.

Thurman is also thwon by the wayside in these lists, but really he was the most important part of arguably the best offense in NFL history.

I've always found it odd how much the "Can't win the big game" stigma sticks with people/teams.  That was a fantastic team, but the most talk you ever hear is "They suck, they lost 3 Superbowls".  Somehow people completely forget that THEY GOT TO THREE SUPERBOWLS.  It's always bothered me.

I've seen a lot of Spaghetti Incident should have been an EP talk over the years, I think the only reason it's looked at like it is, is that it so far is the last thing we've gotten while most of the original band was still together.

I look at it simply as when I originally bought the tape, a 5 song ep would have cost be $8, but the full length cost me $10.  I got a bit more for my money the way it came out.

Not to mention the amount of bands that I didn't know anything/much about and I discovered because of it.  There's a pretty decent chance I wouldn't dig the Stooges today without Spaghetti Incident.

Wow, I don't think I've ever heard of anyone having so little respect for Perry, Jane's & PFP. I'm a huge fan of pretty much everything Perry has ever put out & Lallapolooza was such a great idea. Jane's certainly had that Zepplinesque mystique going for them in their heyday.

I felt like I shouldn't say anything in this thread because of the way I feel about it, but just because of that post I will add...  I feel the complete opposite of that.  If Perry touches it, I'm pretty sure I won't like it.  I just find his voice grating.

I'm on a Gn'R board and a lot of people would say the same thing about Axl, so my opinion doesn't really mean anything, but I just don't like the guy.

Here's some acoustic radio broadcast too.

I'd love it if the new shit country would disappear and the outlaw stuff would come back.

By the way, Shooter's 1st album was called "Put the O Back In Country"  I couldn't agree more.

He also mentions writing guitar melodies for NR, Estranged, etc, and not getting any writing credit.  He was a little concerned, but let it go because they were actually moving forward.

It's been a while since I took a look at the artwork for UYI, but isn't there a special "thank you" from Axl to Slash in there for the killer guitar melodies?

That's true, and when I was younger I thought that was really cool.

Now that I'm older and know a little more about the recording industry, I realize that that is a way of Slash not getting a writing credit (that is, publishing money/royalties) on a song that without his input wouldn't be close to the beast that it is.

I love the lyrics and piano to Estranged, but when I think about the song I think about the interview where Gilby was talking about learning the song and just looking over and saying "How the hell do you get that guitar to feedback for a 12 minute song"

My ITUNES didn't have it up...:(

You might have to click on "View all albums" or something like that.  I didn't see it at 1st, but I found it.

Edit:Under "Artists and More" click on "Izzy Stradlin" and it's there.  It doesn't seem to show up any other place.  I don't get it, but I just checked.

As far as a review(real quick one anyway)  It's Izzy, It's obviously all acoustic, so it's real mellow.  Drums are all with brushes and some congas/bongos.  Songwriting is there like it always is for Izzy though, it's early I've only listened to it once.  At this point I like it better than Miami, but that was my least favorite Izzy album.

I don't know if that really helps anybody out or not, but I hate trying to do something like that after only one listen.

#1088 Re: The Sunset Strip » Can you guess what this movie is » 918 weeks ago

I saw something that said Cloverfield was just a placeholder for where the actual title will eventually go.

Whether where I saw that knew anything for real or not, who knows.

I know when they made Return of the Jedi, everything around had a different name on it to throw people off of what was actually being made so they could concentrate on what they were doing a little more, maybe it is someting like that... or maybe not

Sorry this is off topic, but if you turn your balance all the way to one side (I forget which side) you don't have to hear that speach, and you can actually hear the BITCHIN solo that Slash is laying down underneath it.

Roger Craig

I don't think my decision is skewed, but he went to High School where I live, and I have to hear about how great he is more often than I think I should.  He was very good, but doesn't belong in this company.

Although I came close to picking Bo too.
