Really great performance on Baz's part. That's how a tribute should be done.
Anyone catch That Metal Show this week? Awesome lineup- Taime Downs, Jani Lane, and Michael Sweet, with Phil Collin playing them in and out of commercials.
Damn sad.

The first CDs I bought were the UYIs. I held out, because I had a HUGE tape collection. But UYI2 got eaten twice, and I got fed up. I actually bought the CD before I even owned a CD player, with the hopes I could convince my parents to get me one for my birthday.
I'm guessing that must have been summer of '92. That same Discman is what I plugged into my cassette deck in my first car.

Though it looks terrible, the Hellraiser franchise hasn't been stellar - most of them past 2 were pretty stinky in their own way.
I say this fondly as someone who has seen them all, multiple times. There's a place for bad horror. This one stinks, but the reason for its existence is prety interesting, and the true reboot/newest sequel sounds like it could be as alright as the other newer franchise flicks have been.

I love the song, the version, and ESPECIALLY that lineup (could take or leave Paul, but other than that...), but damn if Axl doesn't get the award for most unnecessary guitar in the history of live performances during Bucket's solo.

Never a huge fan, but this is really sad. I'm gonna check out those albums on your word, Russ.
It's really a strange world we live in these days, where the last payday some of these celebrities have is for being filmed on a reality show where they burn out for the final time. Jani Lane, Mike Starr, Jeff Conaway- I'm sure there are plenty of other examples.

Was the first Blues the one that sounded as if the vocals were doubled up? It had the heavier Robin intro right? If so, that's my favorite version. And Street of Dreams is still a dumb name.

I can hook you up if someone else doesn't first. But I'm leaving for a week tonight, so it would be til next weekend. Sorry about that. IM me if no one else comes through though.

How did Axl shaft them? Axl gave them a chance to be an opener for a legendary artist, and they blew it.
Josh Homme is still talking about this shit all these years later, and he still didn't get the memo. It's not about Axl.
.
First off, Josh is taking a lot of shit for this band, and this interview, when he's really only peripherally involved in the first place. You're dead on with your rant on crappy nobody hipsters that have the bullshit too-cool-for-everyone attitude when they've done nothing themselves.
Jesse Hughes is a tool. EoDM are a novelty act - they're one of 20 funky lightbulbs on the shelf at Spencer's. And yet, he acts as though his shitty band (one that was like a ten minute joke hobby for Josh) is so awesome and cutting edge that he has room to shit on ANYONE, let alone Axl and GNR.
My only point, and where I disagree with Axl, is that either Axl knew who he was signing on, or not. I would never have thought EoDM would be a good fit for a GNR tour. But did he never hear them before he agreed to it? If not, the crappy opener the fans got were partially his fault.
I will say this though- after watching this interview, my point is MUCH smaller. Jesse's attitude shows that he's a douchebag hipster imposter. Someone should hold him down and shave him. Underneath that crappy moustache, he's Rob Schneider- a dude who's lucky to be involved in SOMETHING/ANYTHING, even if it's the stuff his buddies wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole.

No shit on Papa Roach.
I always assumed pretty much what you did, Axlin. Thing is, I don't assume Axl knew nothing about them. You know why? Because Axl loves new acts and always has. Tommy may have recommended them, but IMO I'd be embarrassed for Axl if I thought he truly was so lazy as to just rubber stamp some band without at least listening first.
Which is to say, I think whether they sucked or not, Axl shafted them too.
