I'm really hoping we hear something that is completely new to us in terms of the title, music, and vocals. That would be a pleasant surprise.
Also just realised something about Slash's storytelling that makes no sense. He said they reworked all these songs during the COVID lockdown period... they were soundchecking Hard Skool before lockdown. We have the audio, we have the setlist photos. They also had OMG on the setlist in the 2018.

Y'know, doing 4-8 CD leftovers as small single drops and saving the rest of the CD vault for a CD box or as part of retirement/posthumous releases does make sense. Especially if they intend to actually write a new album.

Yep....this is it. We're rounding 3rd and headed for home.
It sounds like they went through the vault...A-listed a handful of tracks...and the rest have been shit canned. Won't hear any of those until they leak and/or a CD deluxe edition/box set years down the road.
Unless some of the other songs they have Axl wants to keep back for this supposed new record? Hard to know with Slash, he's not the most reliable at remembering what he's worked on it seems.
Sounds like we're getting at least 2-4 more chinse leftovers. Possibly more, but that's just guessing based on Slash not remembering how many they worked on.

Whilst we'll be waiting a long time for it, the most interesting part of what he mentioned is the intent to write a new GN'R record after next Summer's tour.
Whether that ever happens we'll see but for him to bother saying that in an interview I would assume he must have had a conversation about doing that with Axl at some point and Axl was receptive to the idea.

Slash Says Guns N’ Roses Have a ‘Couple of Epic’ Songs to Release
Guns N' Roses still have "a couple of epic" songs left to release, according to Slash.
The top-hatted guitarist called in to Eddie Trunk's Trunk Nation SiriusXM radio show on Wednesday to discuss the band's upcoming plans for touring and releasing music, as well as his desire to record a new album. You can listen to the excerpt below.
"I want to go in and cut a whole brand new record at some point, probably sooner than later," Slash said. "But other than that, we have stuff [that's still] got to come out. So that's gonna be coming out piecemeal over the next… few months or something like that. So that's basically it. We have one more tour left to do next summer, and then that'll free us up to be able to go in and work on a new record."
Guns N' Roses released two new songs, "Absurd" and "Hard Skool," last year, marking the first material to feature singer Axl Rose, bassist Duff McKagan and Slash since their 1994 cover of the Rolling Stones' "Sympathy for the Devil." Both songs date back to the Chinese Democracy sessions and feature newly recorded parts from Slash and McKagan.
Slash said Guns N' Roses reworked several other songs in this fashion during the pandemic. "There's a handful of those songs that we absolutely fixed up and did when we were in lockdown," he explained. "Those have yet to be released, so those are gonna come out. ... We're just gonna put out like one or two songs, and another one or two songs, and I think that's gonna be pretty much all of them. I'm not sure exactly how many we did in total."
The guitarist noted that the band's other unreleased songs "don't have the same kind of amount of history, 'cause I know 'Hard Skool'… goes way back. But there's a couple of epic ones coming out, so I'm excited about that."

Well, Slash did an interview on Eddie Trunk's show today and confirmed the following:
He expects over the next few months GN'R to release 2-3 batches of 1 or 2 songs at a time of reheated CD tracks. He confirmed when speaking about releasing stuff that this wasn't the UYI box stuff and was the reworked CD songs. He wasn't sure himself about how many songs they did, it sounds like it's anywhere from 3-6 more CD leftovers.
He also said that his plan is to start writing a brand new GN'R album after a tour next Summer.
So shit is happening... eventually.

Why didn't Axl date more models and actresses? Same goes with Slash and Duff. Their popularity at the height of GNR mania eclipsed movie stars.
They all sold themselves short... settled for porn stars.
Duff did eventually marry a model. Out of the original five, he is probably the one who came through the other side with his shit most together.

Still nothing from the band, label saying releases are getting slotted, nothing else. An industry news text went around claiming gnr are at Glastonbury next year with Arctic Monkeys and Elton John, Gnr on the Saturday, and the Glasgow date is still open, according to promoters. And there is no forthcoming solo Slash material or tour on the horizon, so it looks like GNR are possibly touring next year, at least. The online German dates and Oslo are fake though
Releases are getting slotted meaning GN'R releases are being lined up?

At one stage there was talk of them doing a DVD of a 2016 show...there was a night they seemed to be filming it to a greater extent than the normal video walls etc.
However it didn't come to pass. The unsubstantiated rumour at the time going around was there had been some type of financial dispute between management or the band and the video company. May not be true of course but thats what people were saying back then - i forget why they thought they knew though.
It was the Troubadour show and maybe another show. The the guy who runs the production company started airing the dirty laundry online is how people know there was some falling out.

Not to be a party pooper but that stylised way to spell Seven as Se7en was also the way the film spells it right?
Which gives a lot of people a reason to have entered it into a spotify search, and there would be a lot of cross over between the audience for a thriller like Se7en and GNR, meanwhile Trent composed the soundtrack for the film and trent's guitarist plays on a different GNR album...not saying it won't happen....just saying there's grounds for the algorithm to make it's own connections too...
That said...that soundcheck really does sound like Oklahoma...so maybe something is happening.
I've done the search myself using a Swedish VPN, not signed into the account, in an incognito tab. Absurd appears in the results for matching songs and every other song in the results actually includes "seven" or "7" in either the title, artist name or album name. Absurd is the outlier.
Truthfully it is weird, you can search these terms and get a lot of results where it makes sense what you get back because everything has what you searched or part of the term in title, artist name, album name, and then in amongst that is totally unrelated Guns N' Roses.
