A friend went to that AEW show in London a few days back so it roped me into watching the thing. Punk and Joe had a good match. There was logic to it, you can tell who is babyface and who is heel & even get the sense they slipped into those roles based of the crowd reaction. Everything else I have seen so far is flippy gymnastic bullshit, no attempt to follow or enforce rules at all.
If the rules are not inforced then why should I give a fuck when a heel breaks them? It's a spot fest clusterfuck. Jim cornette is so right about that company.
This is sort of the issue with "modern" pro wrestling. Yes, the guys wrestling are far better athletes. But most of the time they seem like they do the jumpy/spot fest stuff. Nice display of atheticism but the psycholgical part of wrestling isn't there.
Funny you should mention CM Punk. The dude got suspended again by AEW. At some point, he isn't worth the trouble.

Getting a reworked OMG in place of a new song would of course be a disappointment, but the idea is not bad in itself. The vocals are killer and with a little Slash and Duff it could become a pretty good song.
Yep. The instrumentals on that song were always kind of weak and too chaotic for me. The lyrics and vocals are the strong point in OMG.

Get these abstract, mood-setting instrumentals out there to bookend and support the more traditional songs. They are equally amazing.
The instrumental part of the General, like the first two minutes where it's just symphonic yeah it's motion picture worthy. I was listening to just that part and was like damn this belongs in a movie.
Somebody mentioned a comparison to Estranged (about the General) and it's far too creative/strange (in a good way) that I don't see it. The entire snippet had a surreal, dream like quality to it. I can't quite fully describe it.

I only heard clips of it. It sounded like utter trash. My favorite one was some guy basically copying something that Trump would say. It was the Indian guy (sorry not going to look up his name). He said something to the effect of "I will make the best deal to get us out of Ukraine" like that.
They just basically seemed like idiots. I'm sure the Democratic ones will be the same. It's like they basically take one point, hammer the hell out of the opponent or side of the issue and move on. There's very little differentiation. Outside of the personal attacks on candidates.
Pretty much, the problem with the Republicans is that there isn't really an opposite/anti Trump guy. I mean you're not going to get his voters/base (cough...looking at you DeSantis) so going soft on him and blaming the justice department won't work. I guess Christie is the only guy here who fits taking him on but he's got his own issues. Maybe Pence too but my god he has zero personality and basically his ceiling is as a VP. Sorry that popularity stuff counts too.

That sounded nothing like the May version I heard
Just listened to it and it's definitely May. The solo and the outro it's him. I think in the beginning (first 2 mins or so) the guitar work is sort of lower/maybe a little buried in the mix and you kind of have to work and maybe turn up the volume a little to catch it since it's going on at the same time as Axl's vocals. That's probably why you think it doesn't sound like him.

They become a curiosity though.
I mean it's interesting to listen to the original Silkworms, then the Bumblefoot version then the studio. Just like it's fun to hear the 3 or 4 other old versions of Shadow of Your Love or whatever. But in the end of the day no one really cares other than real hardcores like us, and even most of us only care as a mild novelty in between listening to the commercial stuff. Not going to be commanding huge sums of money.
Yup. The value in the General (version the hoarders have) now is that is an unreleased GNR track. Once the real thing gets released in October, the value of that thing plummets. I'm not even sure the hardcores even want it that much.

The other thing? 2020…i already cannot remember what life was like before then. It accelerates changes in all directions. It give people a mouthpiece that no one knew existed.
I'm the opposite. The days of now or in the past few years fly by. The stuff/time/days of the 80s-90s retain more of a hold in my mind.
I do enjoy that he is spending his golden years in this manner. I’m sure he thinks he’ll live forever or something.
Did you catch last week or whatever he violated some gag order from the presiding judge of his trial in DC? Dumbass posted on social media some crap about the judge and this was after she told him there was a gag ordered in effect.
He is totally unhinged and predictable.

Skeleton? Check.
Guns? Picture is small but I can’t see any.
Roses? Check.
It is some kind if Grateful Dead thing being passed off as GNR.
Actually the fact that it is shoddy and half assed as fuck on some aspects makes it more believable to me. Matches some of the merchandise issues. I do like the image aside from the boring ass font.

I always thought Atlas was one of the radio friendly tracks off of the entire CD album (including leaks). No surprise there. I'm betting they go with the deep cut as the b side.
They still have a few more songs after that that they could release. At some point, we are going to get an album of this stuff. There's just too much that's either been finished or close to it anyway. Whether or not it's a box set or just an album (or two ) is anyone's guess.
Now, I'm skeptical about whether or not they could record a new album from scratch. It's totally different with doing that vs Slash/Duff adding their touches to the CD songs.
Uh, I'd point out too, that the Village sessions are still out there and easily found. I remember someone here said that their HD crashed and those songs went with it too.
Also it'd be a shame if we didn't get to hear Brian May's stuff on Catcher (ie the stuff that made the song great and not that shit that ended up on CD).

OT but bannings are pretty lame unless it's like for a spammer or somehow who spews racist, hateful, crap on a regular basis. Honestly, the ignore function is best for "bad/idiotic posters".
