The East is extremely mediocre this year.
The Flyers have no goalie as always and they think they can just sleepwalk through games. They are the most frustrating bunch I've even seen.

I think Axl is more swayable than people think.
He just ain't got there mentally yet. Axl's notorious for "waiting past the point of interest". He'll wait until he's 60, then talk reunion when everyone in his fanbase is either dead by drugs or suicide, or in jail.
Or when no one cares enough to see a bunch of grandpas pretending to be some bad ass band from the 80's.

I always find it interesting when these types(Martin, George Michael, etc.) come out of the closet years after their initial fame. They basically made a living with models in their vids and singing about women(supposedly) and could have had any chick on the planet.
It's always funny when the whole world seems to know they are gay before they do. (Clay Aiken anyone?)
But yeah this pop crap is mass marketed to females so they have to pretend to be these ultra masculine studs while they are successful. Afer their career fizzles out they can be open because they have no career to lose.
Ricky Martin sure is gorgeous though.

Not the concept of religion.

actually, I believe he is TRYING to say that both God and psychics are unproven entities so one that goes to church is equally subject to criticism as one that goes to see a psychic.
Yeah, I didn't read his post as well as I should have the first time around, but that is exactly what he is trying to say.
I get where he is coming from since I am an atheist, but I have a personal distaste for psychics because in my opinion they are all con artists selling powers they know that don't exist. Religious people generally believe their God exists and many have genuine intentions. So for me there is a difference because there is no fraud there, although I get what he is saying that both beliefs require believing in things that have not been proven to exist.
Anyway I just hope I don't offend anyone. I know you said you believe in God and psychic powers and I respect your beliefs.

Well of course not. Psychics are not real.
Alright. Not gonna go into a debate of religion here, but replace Yoda with a priest, telling the story how Axl sought advice, comfort and all kinds of enlightment in christianity or any other form of state-approved religion, would we mock it this bad?
I wasn't mocking Axl, but I believe psychics are nothing more than con artists and it's sad that they take advantage of vulnerable and desperate people. I'm not saying Axl is either of those things, but they often take advantage of those who are going through a tough time in their lives. It is despicable and it is sad to see anyone taken advantage by them especially considering all their victims need to utilize is common sense.
I personally don't believe in God, but religion has been a part of society in one form of another going back to ancient times. I would hardly find it odd to see a person turn to religion in a time of need because that's what we've been ingrained to do.
Psychics are akin to believing in vampires, Big Foot, ghosts, and fairies.
While I personally believe religion is a load of bunk, a religious figure such as a priest isn't going to shake a person down to be a part of their payroll before they help them. They can also offer practical real world advice rather then selling you a load of magical nonsense they know they can't deliver.
Psychics are frauds that claim to have powers they know very well they don't have. Religious figures are generally well intentioned people that have a genuine belief because it's what's been accepted and passed down by society for many centuries. While I don't share their beliefs, I've met many respectable religious figures that genuinely want to help people. I can't say the same for psychics because they earn their living on dishonesty.

I had actually read about the exorcism in the past but this is the first time I've heard of Yoda bragging about it. It's really sad considering that none of that new age stuff he tried seems to have helped him that much.
Well of course not. Psychics are not real. How could they help him? I find it more sad that he shelled out big bucks to a fraud and let her have so much influence over him. Might as well consult a magic 8 ball and save your cash.
Doesn't surprise me that they were bragging about his gullibility. Psychics are cons and unfortunately their victims are incredibly gullible. A lot of them feel if you are dumb enough to fall for it then you deserve to get conned. It's quite sad to see how people are willing to throw all common sense out the window when it comes to these frauds. It's even sadder than someone of Axl's stature was so involved with one.

I don't know, the ass kissing of that letter gave it a feel of authenticity to me.

The court battle really screwed over an already struggling franchise. IMO there's a decent chance they are the Winnipeg Coyotes on opening night 2010.

Is this track available for download? I'm like totally anti-rap in a ridiculous way, but I kind of dug that clip of it on the trailer.

I, too, thought the Fergie track sounded the best and I typically can't stand her. Sounds like it will be a good one.
