I think it's Duff that doesn't want Myles fronting VR & I agree with him. Duff is from Seattle and Myles is from Spokane, so they must be familiar with one another. Duff is a smart business man. Afterall, he rehabilitated Weiland & brought him into the fold. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Duff(and his wife) doesn't think Myles is rock n' roll enough to front his band.

Imagine having to figure out the royalties everyone gets on VR's Houston release...or when Slash sells "bootlegs" of his solo tour? I mean, I paid $20 for the Council Bluffs recording of the show I saw this summer...did Izzy & Steven Adler actually get like $.75 of that?

A couple things.....
-I worked at a restaurant in Illinois, were the jukebox guy told us it was illegal for us to play our own cd's on the place's stereo during business hours. We either had to have the jukebox on random, a radio/satellite station on, or report what cd's we played, if no one was playing the jukebox.
-Back when Mike Starr from Alice In Chains was going to be on celebrity rehab...I read that he gets a $17,500 royalty check once every three months for his songwriting credits on AIC first three releases. Granted, there's alot of modern rock hits on those discs.....but they pale in comparison to GNR's worldwide stature. So, I would have to assume that the AFD 5 are well into the six figures for their annual royalties.

^ It's pics like these that give me hope for a GNR reunion at the RnR HOF. Axl requests 'Ace of Spades' on Eddie Trunk, and Slash & Steven are obviously cool with Lemmy. Don't be surprised if Lemmy makes an unintelligle speach inducting these guys. It'd only be fitting.

Corey Taylor is certainly a strong meat and potatoes type vocalist. Altough, I think he'd be better off teaming up with Alice in Chains and giving those fans(me!) the tour they never got thanks to Staley's studio only years. Corey Taylor rocks the AIC material pretty good on youtube & he and Cantrell seem to like one another. Slash excels with a high register vocalist.
I would personally like to see Slash record another guest vocalist solo album with the likes of Chris Robinson, Lucinda Williams, Jagger, Vedder, Steven Tyler, Snoop, Hank III, etc......with Myles getting a song and doing another, more major world tour.
However, if VR is to continue, I would prefer that they get Fergie to front it with Regina Spektor on keyboards. That's a band that could play any Slash related material I would want to hear. I think they could sell out world tours as well with the name power. Imagine Spektor singing 'Estranged' as a first encore, or Duff taking over lead vocals on 'So Fine' again. I'm pretty sure people would be into that. Maybe even get Izzy to replace Dave? The we could get DTJ!!!

I still suspect that somewhere along the line, a manager or producer or whoever lifted the idea and let GnR use it. I think Izzy wrote the first part of Patience, but the ending was added on long after the fact. There's just too many coincidences in the story for someone to have not heard the Tesla song and thought the it would be a perfect way to end Patience.

Sounds to me like Axl wants a bigger piece of the pie for the first $billion dollar video game. Just another example of Botaxl Rose trying to cash in on Slash's genius. I thought Axl buried AFD years ago?

Whatever about the Axl vs. Slash thing...But something I've never seen posted on these boards is how much did Slash get for the GuitarHero gig? Being the star of the first ever billion$ video game is nothing to sneeze at. Besides the upfront fee, I wonder if he had a moviestar contract where he got %'s at the backend? Could explain why he suddenly felt like ditching moody frontmen & going solo.
