Chinese Democracy has been starting up for a long time now. This is like the longest, dirtiest opening riff of all time.

James, let's just make a horror movie sticky that you and I can regularly contribute news and stuff to. I promise I'll keep up my end. Hollywood Blvd's turning into Fangoria. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I was gonna start a general horror thread myself anyway. I have opinions I need to share, namely in defense of Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III. Yeah, that's right. I said it.

Oh yeah, I meant to say if and when VR breaks up. Crossing my fingers they won't. I'm a really big fan, I know a lot of us are. I'd hope they can still sort their shit out. The only way I want to see the end of VR is to see the reunion of classic GN'R, and "we're a ways off from that."

#1114 Re: Management » An STP Section » 906 weeks ago

I think VR should be a sub-section of TWAT. I think that was already mentioned, but it makes the most sense. And yes, STP belongs as a well respected sticky in Black Hole, but not it's own section.

#1115 Re: The Sunset Strip » Motel Hell to get rebooted into a franchise » 906 weeks ago

Von

Agreed. This is a terrible idea. I own Motel Hell, I think it's a lot of fun. I don't see why in the hell anyone would want to see a remake of a B movie probably only you and I have seen on at least these boards, let alone turn it into a franchise. Why don't they just start cranking out original properties? Even ripoffs are better than these endless remakes. How else do you think horror (barely) survived the 80s? This is beyond out of hand.

The official statement from KWS Productions reads as follows: "VELVET REVOLVER regret to announce they're unable to perform their five upcoming concert dates in Australia that were scheduled for February 15-20. The cancellation of these shows will allow lead singer Scott Weiland to continue treatment at a rehab facility which he voluntarily entered after the band's February 6 performance in Los Angeles. VELVET REVOLVER deeply apologize to their fans in Australia and thank them for sticking by the group when various members have relapsed during the last year and a half. The band '” lead vocalist Scott Weiland, guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan, drummer Matt Sorum and guitarist Dave Kushner '” are on track to perform at the Dubai Desert Rock Fest in Dubai, UAE on March 8, to be followed by their UK tour March 15-27."

Tickets can be taken back to point of purchase for a refund.

Uh oh.

I like Scott's hair in these. He's looking more like Andrew Eldritch as he gets older.

The western was supposed to be the next film, yes. He briefly even flirted with the idea of a feature length "Werewolf Women of the S.S." I like the idea of this original story, but I too still want to see a western. Then again, who knows what T. Rex is even about?
