Obama will be president. My saying so is fact enough and just as factual as the "arguments" otherwise.

Dax is a loser and is somehow dating Kristen Bell. Go figure. I hope Sorum's on tonight.

This is old, misinformed news. Allegedly, Zombie took meetings with "Conan" producers alongside several other genre directors. He passed. His next movie is the original property "Tyrannosaurus Rex" which is being produced as part of his development deal with Dimension. Well, technically his next movie is "The Haunted World of El Superbeasto," which is finishing up post now that he's off tour.

I also agree. I've been selling things on eBay for years. A lot of collectible stuff I pick up that just sits there, you know, autographed CDs and stuff, masks I've made for things. So there's two distinct eras here, the first one where I didn't really know the "rules" of eBay ie how not to get ripped off by the buyer (or other sellers for that matter), and when I came back after a long break and THOUGHT I knew how not to get ripped off. I won't get into any stories, I have a few, but let me say I also agree with this move. This past spring I went through a messy breakup with someone I'd been in a very long relationship with, and when she left I really cleaned house so to speak. So a lot of things wound up going on eBay, I made some nice money, but the thing is and you know this if you've ever sold on eBay, you used to really depend on that feedback. Without good feedback a lot of people wouldn't buy from you. So I sold a whole bunch of things, a custom Michael Myers mask and suit I had tailored, all these promo discs and posters and tour shirts, and I wound up with no feedback ... on any of it. Some coincidence or conspiracy against me, you be the judge, saw an entire month's worth of items receive no feedback, even though I'd already left the buyer feedback after receiving my payment (at least they paid, right?). I sent emails out after about a month asking very politely, "As a seller I depend on this feedback, please tell me if the items were satisfactory and reached you, I'd love to hear back ... something." Nothing. I'm sitting there looking like an ass dishing out positive feedback and getting this lopsided, like negated score for myself in return. So fuck all of them. Fuck eBay, too.

It will be Obama vs. McCain, which is what I've always said. It will not be Clinton. Mark my words. McCain or any Republican will lose against either one. He'll lose to a larger margin against Obama. There will not be a Repulican president elected in 2008.

Thankfully the Saw machine seems to be losing steem. I mean, still a wildly lucrative horror franchise, but studios need to step up the competition if they ever want to broaden the genre's fanbase. There's a limited window of opportunity for a truely successful theatrically run horror movie, and that's the Halloween season. Sure, teenie bopper Jessica Alba remakes can open in no man's land winter, but this past October was one of the most pathetic on record for horror fans. What happened to the zeitgeist of 2003? This promised revolution that never got off the ground? I feel we've sunk lower than the 90s, and that's saying a lot. Bottom line, Trick 'r Treat looks badass. It really does. I would have liked to seen it this past Halloween, but let's hope they can hold out for a proper theatrical release next Halloween. I'm sorry if I offend any fans of the series, but fuck Saw. I'm sad to see that as this generation's Friday the 13th.

I don't think the record label not feeling able to market this to a mass mainstream audience in 2008 is necessarily a bad thing. I certainly don't think "Geffen can't get this on the air next to Rihanna" is indictive of the album's quality.
