Sure it's fun, but history suggests it won't happen. The only rumor like this to come true was 02 VMAs. Every year since we had the same rumor for basically the VMAs, AMA's and once even the Oscars I think. Probably the Billboard awards every year too.
This could have legs though being as its the day the album is out and would certainly be a very clever idea by GNR.
Does anyone think that the rumor of Tyler/Perry presenting them reeks of bs?

I think Aerosmith have too much history and friendship with the real GNR to essentialy give the finger to their old buddies that are no longer there. Any opinions?

I agree there was a quote on here today about howAxl has gone into hiding to plan his bands comeback and none of the other bandmates have been in touch

As I said earlier in the thread - Secret Book and Record Store on Wicklow Street beside Tower Records. Golden Discs told me the release date in Ireland has been put back until Saturday (rather than tomorrow the original date). Either way I think it shouldn't be too hard to find tomorrow.

So its finally here! What an album - I wish I'd never heard any of the songs and was listening to it fresh again. Oh well, have to make do. I bought it a day early in a shop here in Ireland. I felt nervous buying it. Its so surreal.

Semantics of how you would do it aside, What do you even do with videos anymore? I kow VH1 still does a countdown show, but that's about it. Do you spend the money to put it together just hoping for a shitload of youtube hits? Or do they still play videos on tv in other countries?
There are whole channels dedicated to playing videos. Mostly sat channels but they have a large audience
