That is interesting. I wonder whats holding that same listing from showing up on the US version of Amazon?

No clue whatsoever. I mean what would trigger an online store to list an album with no release date in sight? Humour me here, can anyone often any insight into the mechanics of how that might happen, other than some exec lists it on the basis of maybe getting some pre-orders in? Do these places talk to the record companies?

If Axl called it a day and announced his retirement from the music industry?

My main gripe is with the fact GN'R seem to be doing sweet f a or at least thats how it seems.

Again, just a little clarity from the A - Man would go a mile.

Consider this a minor rant. Here's what 'news' we've had over the last few days:

Richard's Tour Dates
Dizzy's new Myspace / Tourdates
Bumblefoots new solo album

Now I have nothing against any of these people. And they haven't been posting or pushing their projects on any of the forums to my knowledge.

But its all getting a bit boring. You go to the websites to read about GN'R and whats happening, and all you get is info about side projects. At least when there was complete silence you had the perception they might be doing something with GNR.

I'm just not feeling GNR the band at the moment, just a collection of musicians. I think we all know thats pretty much been the case for a long time, but now more than ever I'm failing to see the point in the whole thing. Espacially as they can't talk about GNR.

Hopefully someone will come clean soon. I really want this to work, but even for the most ardent of fans its hard to keep interest.

Can't get to myspace at work...whens the tour?

#1128 Re: Guns N' Roses » Yes it's a what will GNR do poll ...humor me LOL » 926 weeks ago

What I would like

Some sort of update
Another leak(s)
Chinese Democracy
Tour

More likely

Some sort of update
Another leak(s)
Tour

Worst case scenario

Silence.

Setlist so far...they even played Stairway!

'Good Times Bad Times'
"The set started with a clip from 'The Song Remains The Same' DVD with an American news clip telling of they broke The Beatles' attendance record for a gig in 1973 in California. Simple stage set, video screen behind the band."

'Ramble On'
"'Ramble On' done in extremely slow, bluesy manner, with shards of electric guitar from Jimmy Page."

'Black Dog'
"Page wearing dark shades, quite muddy sound. Crowd singing the 'ah-ah' bits back at Plant."

'In My Time Of Dying'
"Page is playing bottleneck guitar. Plant spoke for the first time before song, saying 'Good evening'."

'For Your Life'
"That's not something you get to hear often these days, Led Zeppelin giving a song its live debut."

'Trampled Under Foot'
"Before starting Plant told the crowd it was the band's attempt to sound like Robert Johnson's 'Terraplane Blues'."

'Nobody's Fault But Mine'
"There are huge screen's dominating the O2 Arena, they split into four sometimes, goes monochrome, colour etc...quite spectacular."

'No Quarter'
"Following the song Plant paid tribute to John Paul Jones, who played keyboards and bass on the track."

'Since I've Been Loving You'
"A bit of a style guide for you, all the band are dressed in black bar Page who is rocking a white shirt. As for the song they gone for the epic version....very bluesy."

'Dazed And Confused'
"Settle yourselves in, we're expecting a ten minute version of this classic... it was. At the end of it of the song Plant told the audience 'On guitar Jimmy Page, just as he did on 'The Song Remains The Same' DVD which was filmed in Madison Square Garden in the 70s."

'Stairway To Heaven'
"What do you think happened? Right! From the moment those opening notes rang out the whole audience went absolutely crazy. The atmosphere is electric. Afterwards Plant said "Ahmet, we did it!"

'The Song Remains The Same'
"A fairly straight version of the classic."

'Misty Mountain Hop'
"Plant kicked this one off by praising the job drummer Jason Bonham has been doing, stepping into his late father's shoes tonight."

'Kashmir'

Well, the mag could be making a mockery of CD, as it certainly wouldn't be the first time its happened(or the last). The article isn't fake though.

I geunuinely don't think that iss the case. Firstly the writers are big rock fans, why wouldn't they want Axl to succeed and release a bunch of good tunes. Secondly its better for their magazine to review great music / bands. Its not good business to rely off crappy music and half baked reviews.

The bad part is I vowed never to cancel my subscription until Chinese Democradcy is finally released. What a silly idea. Nevermind, its a good magazine, much better than Kerrang or Metal Hammer.
