All right? Is there anybody that believes that CD will be released in 2008 so much that they would actually bet money on it? If someone came to you and said they are betting you it ain't coming this year would you bite? I wouldn't.

I don't know why everyone is in panic mode. I own a PS3, and so do alot of people. We can't even get this game or the bundles yet, neither can XBox folks.
Nothing is lost here. The big Rock Band 2 push will happen at Christmas, starting with Black Friday in November, which would be a damn good week to put out CD.
Which is why I give them till Monday to give a release date.

Not necessarily. They could make an announcement sometime in between now and the end of October for a late Nov. release.
Like I told Russ. There is no law against dreaming my friend. Just hope you won't be too disappointed.

I wouldn't jump to any conclusions--I would expect any news or single to hit us between the eyes--in other words, a huge surprise we don't see coming, if in fact the album is coming this fall. I believe Shackler's is a great song for a game like this, and is good publicity--single or not. In fact, if they do not release this as an official single, I think it benefits the band, as it is still a leak (a little danger); but will get free distribution without cost, thus publicity. Once the game is out (14th), they will not try to pursue torrent sharing of this song.
Right now, I expect one of two scenarios to happen in the not so distant future:
--CD comes out in November, and there is a GNR reunion in early 2010, with massive summer tour.
--There is a GNR reunion early next year, with a massive summer tour following. Chinese Democracy comes out next fall, and an album with the original members follows closely in 2010.
I expect nothing. Like I said before. If by Monday GNR stays silent then forget about CD this year. And then yeah I agree. A reunion will happen before CD.

there's still more than two months before november 25th. strategically speaking, monday is there chance to make some sort of move. if they do not, then the cd flies out the window.
I've been saying this for a long time. If we don't get a release date by Monday you can forget 2008. I know I have. And I'll even say I'm not counting on 2009. Only thing we MAY get in 2009 is a statement from Axl saying SR was a demo.

Sounds like (by the silence) that GNR is gonna let another opportunity fly by without taking advantage of it. Typical.
They definitely should've striked the iron while it was hot. Now it is warm at best. And when RB2 comes out it'll be too late. The album should've been released no later than a month after RB2. Te casual fans and players will soon forget about SR. Axl lost a golden opportunity for sure.

Thatd oes make Axl an hypocrite but I'm not surprised. As for Dick playing with Rihanna. Haven't seen or heard it, don't wanna see it or hear it because basically I don't give a rats ass. The guy has to make a living.
