I'm just hoping someone posts a better rip of the song or ofcourse that the band allows me to buy the song in some way next week after the game ships.
It's not against the law to dream Russ. But don't be disappointed if nothing happens next week and you can't buy the song.

This is getting a little rediculous.
I was really hoping for a better quality leak by now....the game is 'out', right?
Like I said in my previous post. It'll be out this Sunday. Sept 14.

Yeah, we are awfully close to the game's release and not a peep from GNR.
Looks like those who said it was Oh My God all over again were right.
Yep! And if we don't hear from GNR by next Monday you can forget 08 for releasing CD. Since the game will be released on Sunday I'll give em Monday as well. By next Monday no updates equals getting your 09 hats and don't get used to your 09 hats too much cause.....

i guess you are not allowed to have an opinion without criticism, lecturing, and whining.fyi to the people that don't get it:
for the most part, the lyrics in every song written have some sort of meaning to the artist. since the music is for sale and freedom of speech and opinion prevales there is nothing wrong with not liking the lyrics to whatever you hear and communicating those thoughts to others, especially on a forum that deals in music.
He is allowed his opinion war. Like I said he doesn't have to like the song. But the way he says it is like he doesn't give a rats ass what the writer of the song went through (is it Hetfield?) But agree with you he doesn't have to like the song. Also he doesn't have to call Metallica fans fanboys. I'm a Metallica fan a GNR fan and a fan of many other artists. I've always respected others who may not like those other artists. No hard feelings on captain. Just the way I interpret the post (which could be in a wrong way)

i don't give a shit what the songs about. the point is the lyrics are terrible, the song could be about child molestation or something equally as delicate, doesn't mean i am required to respect it solely because the song is about a controversial topic. and if it is about domestic violence, than the accompanying video, which takes place in iraq, is undeniably out of place(i am not saying it isn't about domestic violence, the laughable lyrics certainly indicate that). the song possesses some of the worst lyrics i HAVE EVER SEEN. metallica fanboys continue to cry all you want, doesn't change the fact that its an atrocious song.
I find your post offensive in so many ways. You don't have to like the song but saying you don't give a shit if it is about child molestation or domestic abuse is wrong. Having worked with children vicitim of abuse. You have no idea (I have a no idea as well) at how much it can destroy someone's life. And if that is the worst lyrics you've ever seen then you need to listen to more music. I've heard 10 times worst. And no I ain't a Metallica fanboy.

Cogill buys into this Beta/Del mentality, but on the opposite side of the fence. They fuel the war, as does guys like Cogill on the other side of this fans vs. GN'R. And frankly, I don't need your Civil War.
Of course I'd much rather have it where Axl appreciates his fans and we could encourage him. I wantot encourage him. But how can we do that when he sees us as the ennemy no matter what. By doing this it pisses off the fans and all shit hit the fan. I thought Azoff would be able to repair the bridge but thus far the bridge has been burned more and more.
Azoff is doing what any good producer would do. Protect the band and their work. That's his job.
He can be the bad guy, as long as Axl looks like the good guy. It's the 'ole Col. Parker method.
The Skwerl incident aside. I thought Azoff would help rebuild the bridge between Axl and the fans and nothing was done. And the bridge ain't that hard to rebuild.

Metallica fans are quite possibly the dumbest fans ever of any band. Metallica tried to be a multi-layered, multi-talented band, and all their fans wanted them to be is metal's AC/DC. Every album should've sounded like Ride The Lightning or Master of Puppets over and over and over. It's just lame. The Black Album is probably their best album ever, and yet no one wants to give it credit because it wasn't Puppets II.
ANYWAYS, from what i've heard this album is better than St. Anger, definitely. But I still think it's an average output in comparison to all of their previous albums, Load & Reload included.
I don't necessarily want Puppets 2. It'll never happen. I just want good music from them. Period. I've always hated it when people want a band to do another

. From the 3 songs I've heard Metallica seemed to have made a good album. And that is all that matters. And speaking of Load Axlin08. Too bad that the music on this album is not very good cause lyrically this album is very heavy.
