I dug it, but this should have been the official release back in September. Also kind of surprised they released a video with guns, fires and explosions in a school.
Didn’t think of that. You’re right though, probably should’ve gone in a different direction and definitely released it back in September.

Unsurprisingly no mention of it on the band’s website or Twitter. I haven’t been able to find it online yet either.
I just went on my DVR and watched it. Aired around the 1:28 mark (so 8:28 am). They only played like a minute of it and then they talked about the band for about 5 minutes. I guess they have an artist each week that they “promote” and the band “lends” their music to them to play in and out of breaks during the show. They mentioned to go to gunsroses.com to purchase merch, music, etc.
The video itself was pictures of the band members with the lyrics, pretty much what you’d expect.

So they couldn’t even edit together live footage from the last tour to put together a proper video for the song?
All these half assed efforts. Why do they even bother?
I’d say this is a positive step to celebrate and signals a move forward to something bigger, but who knows. The timing is weird with nothing to really promote right now. Just a reminder that a 4 song EP is coming out in 3 months? That they’ll be touring again in half a year?
Don’t get me wrong, I’ll always take something over nothing, but it doesn’t make much sense. Unless I’m missing something.

Eddie Trunk is freakin' unlistenable. He just rambles. Toots his own horn constantly. 18 minutes into this program and he's basically talked about his schedule and social media efforts.
He did a bit about GNR but isn't playing it until the end of his show, of course.
Yeah, hopefully some callers lead him down the path to talk GNR. He mentioned the version he’s going to play is only 3 minutes long. Can’t believe they had to cut 41 seconds. He also seemed to believe there was no new album coming out, or at least not with all “new” songs. Doesn’t sound like he has any inside info, even though I agree that most if not all of whatever we hear will be CD outtakes.

I kinda doubt they would release a single which Axl can't sing. It probably won't be great, but I'd be very surprised if they didn't play it.
I think he can sing it. It may not sound like 2006, but he should be able to pull it off in some capacity

Yeah, they haven’t played TWAT since 2017. I see what you’re saying with the pace of the song vocally. Wouldn’t be easy, but you’d think he has to try it now. Otherwise, what’s the point?

If I'm a music journalist, that's the first place I'd go. Bad look.
I say this, because of all those articles I posted above, many of them have the same talking points. Almost like they were pulled from a common source. Maybe all those music writers are deeply familiar with the song's history, but that seems unlikely.
Yeah, that’s not very good. Still linking to Absurd as the new single. It’s after 8 on the west coast. Get up and moving!

Good reviews, positive press. Maybe that’s part of the plan? Let the music do the talking, at least initially. People are talking (positively) about a new single. Maybe next show they play it live and articles will come out about them performing it for the first time? Got to nail it though. No pressure.
