Some of those were actually kind of funny. I liked the one about crayons.

Yeah, but that was just a short back story. A full movie? There's just so many more things that can go wrong. If they're going to give him a love interest it's a suicide mission.
But as you say that's nothing compared to Han Solo. That's gotta be an automatic fail.
Who said they were going to give him a love interest? Anyways wouldn't we expect a cool, badass mofo like Boba Fett to be somewhat of a ladies man? I could see Boba Fett being the kind of character to run through the ladies. He doesn't need to have a steady love interest but if he did she'd be some smuggler, bounty hunter, shady type character anyways. I actually really think Boba Fett makes for the most interesting spin off by far.
Han Solo woul be intersting too but I just can't imagine anyone playing him other than Harrison Ford and he's just too old now. the fact it'd be near impossible to cast Han Solo effectvely makes it an automatic fail in my opinion.
But like Me_Wise_Magi aid, I aslo think they should just put all their focus into episodes 7, 8, 9. Restore the franchise with a killer trilogy with great scripts, good dialogue, actions scenes that look real and not like video games etc etc etc. I'd rather have 3 awesome movies than ten good ones.
I'm cautiously optimistic the people in charge of doing this, know the fans don't want more of what Lucas gve us in episodes 1-3. We want what episodes 4-6 were. I'm scared though we'll get more "Jar Jar" type shit and more dance sequence lightsaber battles.

The immediate problems arising from this:
A whole film about Boba Fett means you got to humanize him, that means taking the mask off. Which in turn will demystify the whole character.
Replacing Harrison Ford as Han Solo? No, that's impossible!
They demystified him when they showed him as a little brat kid in Attack of the Clones. Not as bad as devaluing Yoda's zen like character though. The prequels ruined so much. I wish they could be erased from existence.
I think you could "unmask" Boba Fett and have it work as long as you got some unknown actor who looks badass and probably good looking in a rugged manly man kinda way wth a rugh growly kinda voice. More Hugh Jackman than say Ryan Reynolds
agree with the problem of Han Solo though. Who the hell could they ever get to pull that off? The character is way too iconic.
I could see someone like Anna Kendrick taking on the Princess Leia role maybe if they ever had a need for a young Leia

Sounds cool to me. Still don't think we'll be seeing spin off movies before the completion of Episodes 7, 8 & 9. I can't picture 5(6 if you count a yoda spin off) Star Wars based movies in 10 years.
Also in my opinion a movie based around Yoda would suck. Not interested in that at all.

It all boils down to this: DO YOU TRUST HER? If you don't that's the issue not pole dancing. If you do than what's the issue? Either way this really has nothing to do with her and that's the truth. It's about you.
Personally I like it when other guys look at my girl. I trust her completely and it feels good to know other guys want what I have. Not that it affect how much I'm into her but it's just cool to know they want to go home with her but I'm the one who gets to. I also trust her 100% so it makes it easy for me to feel that way. How do you feel about guys looking at her in general? Do you get jealous easily?
If my girlfriend wanted to take pole dancing lessons I'd be all for it BUT I'd ask why of course. If she said because she's thinking about becoming a stripper I'd have an issue with that no doubt but I'd have no issue with her simply wanting to take pole dancing lessons. It's all about communication. Ask her why she wants to learn. Maybe ask in a humours way if she's planning on making extra money a few nights a week at a strip club to break the ice.
Most guys don't know this or if they do they've forgotten. Quite often girls whether they are single or not, aren't seeking the attention from the men in the room. They're seaking the attention/jealousy of the women in the room. Most girls don't care about the guys looking at them as long as they're looking because as long as they're looking she feels prettier, hotter, more desireable than the other girls in the room. It's about being better than the other girls, not so much about looking good for the men. It's weird but it's true.
Honestly if you trust her then you should have nothing to worry about. Truth is if you don't trust her the relationship won't last and she's gonna resent you for having an issue with this because all it says to her is that you don't trust or respect her.

There's no way they'll focus on spin off movies untill Episode 7- 9 are done and 7,8,9 will not be prequels. If anything they'll take place shortly after Jedi with new actors playing the roles made famous by Hamil, Fisher and Ford. That or it will take place in the distant future after Jedi focusing on Han and Leia's children while Hamil, Fisher and Ford reprise their roles as Luke, Leia and Han.
There are lots o plans for a tv show spin off that in all likley hood will have nothing to do with the movie series. Most likely with completely new characters set in an entrely different/side story. I think it would rule if they did a tv series based around Boba Fett though.
or worse the whole Jar Jar situation with having annoying Yoda relatives. The sad thing is Yoda going complete badass Jedi master was the best part of the prequels.
I disagree completely. I thought Yoda battling with a lightsaber was one for the dumbest fucking things I've ever seen. It completely devalued his character in my opinion. Seeing yoda spin and jump like Sonic the Hedge Hog was ridiculously stupid..... in my opinion.
I pretty much hated every lightsaber battle in the prequels. They were more fit for Dancing with the Stars than Star Wars. the only one I did like was Qui-Gon vs Maul on Tatooine ad sadly that on was like 10 seconds long.
#117 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Top 10 GN’R Songs by Ultimate Classic Rock » 674 weeks ago
1. Welcome to the Jungle:
Over the years I think this song more than any other Guns' song has really not only stood the test of time but actually improved with time. It sounds like it could've been released last week let alone 25 years ago. When it comes on the radio its a breath of fresh air from all the cookie cutter mundane modern rock. It's as raw as ever and like I mentioned in another thread it's become the undisputed sports anthem champion. It just embodies everything that was Guns N' Roses.
2. Sweet Child O' Mine:
Almost on the same level as Jungle in terms of still sounding fresh. It's as good today as it ever was. Yeah the lyrics may be a bit soft but Axl's voice is great and Slash's guitar solo on this is off the charts in how it transforms a decent ballad into a pretty epic fucking rock song. Personally my favourite Slash solo. Considering that it's rammed down our throats on radio even still to this day and I haven't tired of it says a lot.
3. November Rain:
This charts fairly high on my list based on it's super nostalgia power. This song more than any Gn'R song takes me back to highschool. Not just school dances but everything. Back then it was THE song and again like SCOM the lyrics may be a tad soft but Slash's guitar solos are again the highlight and power the song. The outro to the song is the most unexpeced outro to any song ever in my opinion and it only added to the sheer grandness of the song. This song was in fact my favourite song of all time for years and years even after highschool. It's dropped a bit the last deceade but still classic.
4. Nightrain:
Just a badass rock song that I've always loved. It's got the energy to make it like a Jungle Part 2. I find it's the one Gn'R song that you can turn to after the "Big Three" on AFD and everyone will still know it and rock to it, yet it's a tiny tiny bit obscure(if that's even possible for an AFD song). It's not on the radio every single day which I think contributes to why I like it still so much.
5. You Could Be Mine:
Simply put this is the song that not only turned me onto Guns N' Roses but switched the lightbulb on in my head and made me into a legit music fan rather than just a casual radio listener. I remember where I was and who I was with the first time I heard this. I was in the basement at my cousin's place watching Much Music with my brother and my cousins Michelle and Brad. The video for YCBM came on and I was was blown away. It was the coolest sound I'd ever heard and the band looked so badass. I was hooked. Bought the single on cassette the next day.
6. Civil War:
The B side to the YCBM single was probably as important as YCBM when it came to converting me into a diehard GnR fan. Though today I do enjoy YCBM more, back then Civil War was my favourite of the two. I love the desperation in the song. I've found over the years that Civil War is the one Guns N' Roses song that people who dislike Guns N' Roses actually like.
7. Rocket Queen:
The first part of the song is decent but the last 3:30 of the song are in my opinion arguably the best 3:30 minutes in all of the Guns N' Roses catelgogue. Rocket Queen is truely 2 songs in one. If "song 2" was slightly modified with a opening intro and made into an actual song on it's own I'd probably rank it #1.
8. Estranged:
A lost epic/classic in my opinion and one that may have been as popular as November Rain had it been released as a single at the time NR was instead. This is another song where Slash is the star for sure. There are more highs and lows in this song than any other Gn'R song and though lyrically as a whole it doesn't do much for me the melody and finally two versses are among Axl's best. Along with Rocket Queen this is a song where I can't wait to get to the ending
9. Dead Horse:
In my opinion Gn'R's most classic rock sounding song. I love the way the intro kicks in and tempo of the song from there on out is great. Musically it's not anything special in the Gn'R catelogue, Axl's voice is good, lyrics are alright but the result is greater than the sum of the parts. It's just always been one of my very favourite Gn'R tunes.
10. Think About You:
The most underrated Gn'R song in my opinion. I'm not sure why people don't like this song but it's always been one of my favourites. I really dig the lyrics and Axl's voice on this one yet his voice to me has a different..... feel, vibe or tone to it during the chorus. It's less aggressive but not in SCOM way. I can't explain it. It's like there's a a newness to it. Almost like Axl sounds younger on this song. What's also weird about this song is that it reminds me of Guns N' Roses. No shit. It is Guns N' Roses so I can't explain why it has that effect on me either. Also during the chorus the guitars have a more melodic rock vibe to them that is more my typical taste in music so..... It's GnR at their most U2ish I guess.
************************************************************************************
Just missed the cut:
One in a Million:
Vocally it's Axl's best song in my opinion. Musically I love it and think it's one of Slash's best solos. Lyrically though it's garbage. When I was younger I think I was more willing to overlook the lyrics but as I get older, more and more I just see how lame they are and it really does ruin what could've been an all time classic rock song, not just classic Gn'R song.
Coma:
Awesome song, crazy lyrics at the end, but it's just not something I'm always in the mood for. Maybe it's a bit too long, maybe there's a bit too much going on..... when I'm in the mood though I can honestly say I'd be hard pressed not to consider it in the top 5 Gn'R songs.
Paradise City:
Classic tune, GREAT for parties, but I've never been a huge fan of the long outro and I tend to lose interest a bit by the end of it if I'm listening by myself. If I'm at party I think this might be Gn'R's best song.
*I hadn't even looked at the list in the article before I started on mine so after I posted this I found it ironic that my top 3 were identical to what the article had.
#118 The Sunset Strip » Scarecrows - One Bad Son......... Axl could use a single like this » 675 weeks ago
- Bono
I heard the song Scarecrows a few months ago but missed the name of it and missed who it was and honestly couldn't remember the lyrics so I had no way of finding out who they were. Heard it on the radio while driving, threw me off gaurd cause I liked it and I spent more time trying to figure out who it actually was. At first I thought it sounded like Buckcherry but then the singer was way better. The style reminded me of vintage Bon Jovi but I knew it wasn't Jon singing. I almost thought it sounded like the singer from Cinderella but he sounded too young. Anyways I heard it again today finally and I found out who they were and thought I'd put it out there seeng as though they are Canadian and chances are you guys won't ever hear of them otherwise. I think some of you will like it especially -D- I could be wrong though. I also think if Axl would just tone it down and let DJ write something simple, catchy and mainstream, Axl would sound great on something like this. Would be a massive hit with him on vocals and the Gn'R name to push it. Anyways enough rambling check it out.
Scarecrows
#119 Re: Guns N' Roses » AXL ROSE Reportedly Close to Losing Lawsuit Against ACTIVISION For Fea » 675 weeks ago
Thing is Slash is all over 80% of the material Axl chooses to play in concert. Probably 95% or higher of his audience is there because of the past material that Slash was a part of. Axl kept the name Guns N' Roses and surprisingly Slash was in that band and was as big a part of it as Axl is. Yet Axl wants people to forget about Slash and the past? His new band can't move forward if we all still associate Slash with Guns N' Roses? Motherfucker hasn't done anything to even remotely make that possible. By now the guy should have enough material that the only songs from th Slash era GnR that should be played consistently are Jungle, PC, SCOM & NR. The rest he could rotate in and out of the set. Nobody was ever going to forget Slash but if Axl says he wanted to take it to the next level, as he did in that rant he sure missed the mark.
I've said this before but if you gave me 10 million dollars and 10 years with nothing else to do(no day job) I could learn to play guitar adequately enough, surround myself with talented muscians and bring a kickass album to fruition. For a musical "genius" and for a guy who wanted everyone to move on with him he's basically done fuck all in almost 20 years. How are people supposed to move on from the Slash era when the new era hasn't even begun basically? Ho many fans wanted Axl to succeed and were so behid the idea of a new Guns N' Roses only to over time get sick of the inactvity that a reunion became more of a realistc hope for fans. I was one of those fans. Wanted so bdly for new Guns N' Roses to take off and was ok with Slash not being there but after a while... after a fucking decade I got sick of it and thought stop screwing around wit a cover band of a cover band and just reunite withthe old guys if the plan is to live off their legacy every night and shove notalgia down our throats. Especially if they're gonna shove it down our throats and then complain that fans won't move on. The whole thing is so twisted and fucked up. It really is.
Axl said in that clip that we as fans have been lied to and manipulated. He's right. Only thing is it's Axl fucking Rose who lied to and maipulated the fans, not the guys he's ranting about.
#120 Re: Guns N' Roses » AXL ROSE Reportedly Close to Losing Lawsuit Against ACTIVISION For Fea » 675 weeks ago
Axl had a case but its still ridiculous. ... when people hear wttj they think of slash anyway
That's t in a nutshell. Yes legally he had a case but the fact he even begins to think he can erase the link between Slash and Guns N' Roses is what makes it pathetic. That's what makes the whole thinga douhe move on his part. If he concerend himself half as much with promoting his new band as he does with erasing Slash, he'd be way better off.
