I just downloaded these myself and have no idea where these came from. They sound AMAZING. We have never heard either of these versions before on any of the bootlegs that have been floating around. It really makes you wonder what else from the old days is out there that we haven't heard yet.

Did "Shackler's Revenge" appear on this list? No.

I think there's a possibility that film score got "lost" because Axl had other ideas for what Bucket was doing on it.

Not a bad theory at all.

Not if he was just brought in to do rhythm and the occasional lead work (like the slide solo on Rocket Queen) - I never saw the problem with him in 2001. He's not the BEST player in the world, but he has history with the band,  and is probably all over the album regardless (playing wise and song writing wise.)

John 5 would be a good fit if Bucket  doesn't come back and Fortus isn't promoted to lead.

Ideally though, Fortus would get promoted to lead, and Paul Tobias would come back to keep some semblance of the original CD-era lineup.

I just extracted the "What I would do to.....myself" line, and played it over and over.

Axl is NOT singing the word "Prostitute", it's two separate words. Someone had the theory over at CD.com that it's either "Proudly damn myself.." or "Probably damn myself..." I think that I need to agree. It sounds like either one of those. Either way, the word in question is not "Prostitute."

Doesn't really mean anything or lend any credence to what the song actually is (if it isn't Prostitute), but it's worth pointing out.

James -

With all due respect, we now have 2 separate sources saying that Song #2 isn't Prostitute, and if I remember correctly, one of the leakers (can't remember which), said that he was still looking for Prostitute - so the leaker himself admitted that he didn't have it, unless he honestly had no idea what the song titles were/are. I'm not saying that this isn't or can't be Prostitute, but if Gunslinger heard a clip of what was supposed to be Prostitute, and it wasn't Song #2, then I think we have to say that this really is something else (My personal theory is still banking on Atlas Shrugged.)

Of course, there's still some evidence in support of it being Prostitute, as in, Rhiad & If The World were both 2006 options on the setlist along with Prostitute - 3 new songs leak, 2 of which we know were nearly played, and a mythical third track which no-one wants to fess up the title of. Not to mention, the lyrical theme seems to fit someone "prostituting" themselves for fame and fortune. If it IS Prostitute, then I'm not all that disappointed, as I do think it's a great song and one of my favorite leaks so far.

My personal, gut feeling though? It's not Prostitute. And again, I respectfully disagree with you on this one, James.
