My only gripe is the comment about the old members bagging on Axl in the press...I ask it all of the time....WHERE?...PLEASE SHOW ME...

My first thought was Steven.

Of course.  He was not even subtle about it.  He was asked about his comments post-RRHOF recently by Rollingstone, too.

Am I the only one who is irritated by seeing Beta on stage chumming it up with Bumblefoot? In my personal experience with her, she pretty much sucks. I can see her being up Axl's ass all the time, but why play nice with the band when you don't really seem to care about anyone but yourself/your kids?

It was really more like the band playing nice with her and having fun with her than anything.  BBF wasn't involved in that.  It was Tommy putting the bass on her and DJ slinging his guitar around her back and then grabbing a camera and filming her with the bass around her neck.

You were there, right? I'm sure you would know better in that case.
The picture I saw was of Bumblefoot standing next to her helping her place her hands on the bass. I can link it later once I am at home, but Bumblefoot retweeted it from Twitter user @Axls_Rose.

Yes, Stacey, I was.  Yes, I see the picture.  BBF did come over briefly, but what I meant was the practical joke part was really Tommy and DJ as Tommy left her with the bass and DJ slung his guitar around her back and then filmed her.  It was more those two messing around with her.  BBF wasn't involved in the messing around/practical joke aspect.

Although, he did bring his wife and two other women I didn't recognize out from the side of the stage to sing during the choruses of "Nightrain".

Glad you guys enjoyed the vids and Beta pic... wink check out Catcher from the 23rd if it hasn't been posted yet!

For what it's worth, I don't think anyone that was there read into the Beta thing being anything more than a little last-show fun. She was laughing, the guys were laughing and it wasn't for very long. I'm surprised people are going on about it so much! It just brought the human element to the gig... Wasn't weird or disrespectful, just a little spontaneous fun.

That's what Ali has been saying the whole time. I think it would'v been taken differently by people actually at the show, which seems to be the case with most things in GN'R world 16 axl

Ain't that the damn truth.

That Better vid is pretty good in fairness but it's a shame that at the last show of the residency the most interesting thing that seemingly happened was Beta may or may not have played the bass during a jam.

Apparently there were balloons instead of confetti. Counts as a surprise, no? 16

There were indeed.  It was a little distracting having those being popped in random succession while I was trying to listen to and watch PC.

Nah, this band jumped a FLEET of sharks a long time ago LOL

Touche.  That point has long passed.  Honestly, when I first read that tweet I shuddered at the thought of the negative reaction it would have most deservedly received.  Luckily it was "only" during a jam.  I will let it slide in this instance.  I could understand if others see it differently though.

It lasted all of three minutes at most. It was not a big deal, and it was not Beta's idea. It was a practical joke played on her. That's it.

So it wasn't like during a song right? It's just that someone chucked a bass around her after the show?

No, it was during the pre-PC jam. That's all.

At one point, Ron brought out his wife and two other women to sing along to the choruses of Nightrain into his mic. It was a couple of light-hearted moments, that's all. Just some light-hearted moments.

Really, no one should be outraged at Beta or what happened with her. It wasn't her idea. It was a practical joke that lasted a few minutes. That's it.

I have a feeling we're going to have to start a second thread just for outrage over this.

Here's what happened: Tommy put his bass on her and left the stage. She kept looking back for Tommy, motioning for him to come back, but he didn't. DJ put his guitar around her back and grabbed a camera and filmed Beta. It was just a fun practical joke that lasted a couple of minutes. She wasn't really playing.

Nice work.

How was chris angel?

Excellent. He's a great showman and does some cool illusions. It's not really a Cirque show as there are no real acrobatics, but still cool.
