I don't think we can jump to that conclusion just yet. While I don't think the album will come out until next year(if ever), we cant close the 2008 book just yet. The GNR resume consists of releases sprung on the masses. Lies hit pretty quick, and I'm sure other old school fans can remember how quick it was from the UYI release date announcement to the actual release. TSI happened out of nowhere as well.
I'm not closing the 2008 book YET. But after Rock Band 2 is released on Sept 14. If GNR fails to update us THEN you can kiss 2008 goodbye. Axl has been offered yet another golden opportunity and he needs to take advantage of this. If not well then it will never come out. And no one will ever take him seriously again.
Edit: GNR is being talked about again right now. Failing to give us a release date by Sept 14 will prove that a release is not imminent at all.

If Sept 14 2008 comes and goes without having any update whatsoever from Axl and company then you can all close the books on a 2008 release and a release period. Axl is missing his last boat here folks. If he can't capitalize on this free publicity that is Rock Band 2 then we will NEVER see this album. Like I said in another thread. Unfortunately for Azoff, GNR might end up being a huge failure on his resume.

So, how many of us would buy SR even though we downloaded it? I'd get it.
I'd buy it. Hell I bought a soundtrack that had horrible songs on it just to get Oh my God. So paying a dollar for a GNR song is nothing.

Tommys site looks like a server misconfiguration. The numbers appearing in the URL bar will be the servers IP address.

weird....a few weeks ago Tommy's site had tour dates up....said Gnr was coming to South Africa! DOH!:lol: Maybe Tommy and Richard are announcing their retirement from Gnr together. Cause Duff has some awesome LOADED songs that Axl wants to use for Chinese.:thumbup:
Well could be they are out of the band. Or could be that the record is near or could mean anything. Man are we due for an update or what! I wouldn't be surprised if they are out, but wouldn't be surprised if they are in.
Edit: Dick is still in GNR according to his site.

Nope! Just says the site is temporarily unavailable and those numbers appear in the adress bar http://216.219.254.125/
Just weird that his site is unavailable given the recent activities or lack thereof in the GNR world.
