Not giving any credit to this story possibly being true but CDs are only released on Tuesdays in the US.

Wrong my friend.  I live in Canada and cd's and dvd's new releases are on Tuesday also.  You know the US are not alone in the world.  tongue  Seriously new releases are on Tuesdays in Canada too.  I don't know if it is like that in other countries but that is how it works here as well.

While I won't say that Bucket is better than Slash, I will say that since he left GNR Slash hasn't written anything that good.  I don't know if it's because he got lazy or lack of inspiration but he hasn't written anything that would come close to his GNR days since he left.

I think that 5 O'Clock's guitar work is as good as AFD's. He played great stuff on ALG, too. I agree that VR is Slash's weakest guitar work, although some songs match with his best GN'R moments. You'd have to listen some Neither Can I, Beggard and Hangers-On, Be The Ball, Back and forth, Speed Parade, Slither, Messages etc... He's still the guitar god, but unfortunately hasn't found another god to sing for him. I wish that his next singer wouldn't limitate the guitar force, at least.

This is where I disagree.  While 5 O'clock had some decent songs, it NEVER even came close to AFD(And by the way they'll never come close to that album ever again).  ALG sucked and sucked again big time.  Again that is a matter of opinion.  I never said that Slash is not a guitar God anymore.  I said that is work since he left GNR has been less than stellar.  Would it have made a difference if Axl were involved in his songs post GNR?  Maybe then again maybe not.  Depends on what Axl could've added to those songs.  And remember while I won't imply that Scott Weiland is as talented as Axl he still couldn't make Slash's riffs better and if he did then they must've sucked big time before he added to them cause VR was a failure in my eyes.  There is no denying Slash's talent in playing guitar.  Again like I said maybe he needs to be inspired, maybe he is lazy.  I don't know.  Maybe he needs Axl, Izzy, Duff and Axl.  Maybe Axl needs those guys as well to make good music.  And if you don't believe me.  Get Guitar Hero 3 and play the guitar battle with Slash and listen to the music he wrote.  Then try the guitar battle with Joe Perry in Guitar Hero Aerosmith.  You'll see a huge difference.  Perry was way more inspired than Slash was.

Says more about the rudeness and general tone of GNR fans than my point really.

See DCK.  While I agree with your analogy that downloading a song like WE ALL did (I'm willing to bet you downloaded them too) is like stealing a car and then ask the owner what kind of car it is.  BUT!  Sadly this is how the industry is today and they have to find a way to adapt.  I'm against downloaing music and movies illegally too.  I still buy cd's and DVD's.  But I did download the leaks.  And the reason is simple.  I can't buy those frigging leaks cause Axl won't release them.  When/if he does I will buy them.  Why?  Cause I'm a fan of Axl's music.  Otherwise I wouldn't have even bothered to download it.  Sure some people refuse to buy the songs nowadays.  And even if those leaks hadn't happened you can bet your ass that IF Axl chooses to release those songs one day that those who downloaded the leaks and never had any intentions on buying the record.  They'll still do the same when the album is released, only difference is that they'll know the name of that famous song # 2.  The question I take it more that we all have an interest in Axl's music and want to know more about it.  Nothing wrong with that.

Axl doesn't want anybody that can handle him.  He wants people that will play by his rules.

Call it what you want but Vai fits the description.  I can't imagine he had that much power with David Lee Roth and Whitesnake.  Plus if what Stinson says is true.  When recording with Axl, Axl wants you to the songs and add in your touch and I think Vai could add some crazy good stuff with Axl's music.

I agree with russ.  No harm in asking.  And I can tell you that if they hadn't asked there would be a lot more bitching.

#1276 Re: The Sunset Strip » The BATMAN Thread » 883 weeks ago

That was the absolute greatest movie I have ever seen.  The ending bummed me out a bit but not enough to meake me get out of there complaining.  I agree about Maggie being extemely bad in this movie.

Good news is though that we know she won't be back.

To end this.  I know there is going to be another one but I wish they would stop with this one.  Why?  Cause I can't see them topping The Dark Knight.  It can only go downhill from there.  Don't believe me.  Go watch Spidey 3 and you'll understand what I mean.

Although it would be interesting if Bucket returned and it was a Bucket/Bumble combo.

I think those 2 would be way better than Bucket Fink.  Plus I can see Bumble getting along with Bucket better than Finck did.

Wasn't there a rumour that Buckethead was Vai at one point?

Hehe...wouldn't surprise me....

i thought the rumor was that BH was paul gilbert (Mr Big)

There was that rumour too but the Vai rumour was bigger I think.  Either way I would love to see a Bucket Vs Vai guitar battle like in the movie Crossroad.  If anyone can be better or equal to Bucket it's Vai, although I wouldn't dismiss Gilbert either.  If Axl can't get Bucket back he SHOULD call Vai though.  Vai is used to dealing with ego maniac singers so I'm sure he could handle Axl.

I would kind of feel bad for Ron if Bucket came back, though.

Ron's text message: So, when do you want me to come in, dude? I'm so excited!

Axl's  text message: Uh, never. Peace.

Herbie's  text message: Ha Ha.

But to be honest I'd only feel bad for about 2 seconds.

IF and that is an extremely huge if Bucket comes back, it doesn't mean Bumble is out.  Remember Robin is gone so Bumble takes Finck's place and Bucket his and Fortus keeps his same role.  Although I would make Bucket lead guitarist.
