Heartbreaking conference games, the opposite team could've won in both instances with only slight bits of execution or planning changing. The Ravens offense is unbelievably predictable. 1st down - sweep run. 2nd down - go route to Smith. 3rd down - try to get someone crossing over the middle, then when they cover the middle of the field, punt. They need a new coordinator. Like the Jets, it's hard to tell if the QB is bad or if the system gives him no opportunities to be great.

Also, as a Bills fan, Lee Evans dropping the ball in the end zone was appropriate. I would've predicted it if I thought they'd throw to him in that situation. And I love Lee, always have. But Buffalo guys choke, especially against the Patriots.

The means to enforce IP online already exists. If you disagree with that assertion, check out megaupload. These bills are draconian overreaches, not reasonable mechanisms to enforce copyright.

I'm 6-for-8 on game predictions, been 3-for-3 both weekends heading into the final game, with hopes of winning a little money, but the Giants ended that.

I'm pumped for Giants/49ers, that should be fun. I'll enjoy the AFC Championship game if NE loses but if they win it'll suck.

49ers are overrated? I haven't heard anyone talk about them as an elite team or a Super Bowl contender. Their record's inflated but everyone knows that. New Orleans will no doubt be favored by most in that game. Saying San Fran isn't great is one thing, but overrated? They're by far the least talked about team still in the playoffs from what I've read/heard/seen.

Bengals/Texans is tough to call. Anybody feel confident predicting the outcome of a playoff battle between Andy Dalton and TJ Yates? I hope not. Houston is the better team in my opinion, and even with an ultra-conservative offense for Yates, Cincy's D could struggle against that running game. I'm leaning to Houston, but if Andre Johnson's not 80% or Jake Delhomme has to play, then the Bengals could easily take it.

The Saints are getting 10.5 against Detroit which is enough for me to pick New  Orleans to win, if nothing else. They're averaging 42 points a game at home, and the Lions haven't been in the playoffs in forever. With Drew Brees, home-field advantage, and the humiliating loss to Seattle last year, I think the Saints win this big.

I like the Giants, who've peaked late and have the better QB in my opinion. This is the best game of the weekend to me, but I'm a non-believer in Atlanta so I have no hesitation picking the Giants. Better pass rush, better QB, better WR core.

Broncos suck, Steelers win huge. Or possibly they win small, since their offense sometimes lags, but there's no doubt in my mind that they'll win.

Paul's calling for 1 trillion in cuts for next year, which is only about a 25% reduction in spending and would likely leave us still at a small deficit. Hardly extreme.

I took a pilgrimage to Orchard Park to go to the Bills' 7th consecutive loss yesterday.

Woo.

I hope you're right. I love this sort of thing and Louis is very funny, and a smart guy too. I haven't bought it yet but I plan to.

#130 Re: Guns N' Roses » Guns N Roses OFFICIALLY inducted into Rock n Roll Hall of Fame » 706 weeks ago

Does anybody really know or care who's in the RnR Hall of Fame? I can't say I know a single person who has ever brought it up to me except a Bon Jovi fan, once. I vaguely remember there being a bunch of acts in there that are neither famed nor rock n roll already, but more to my point, I don't even care to look it up. The only intrigue the nomination ever has had is the Slash/Axl contact it could spark.
