#121 Re: Guns N' Roses » Who do you want as the opening act? » 817 weeks ago

Baz sealed the deal. I just bought my tickets.

Don't ask what the truth is and I will tell you no lies, 'cause love can be a bitch slap honey, a bleeding heart in disguise!

Now bring on the fucking Trailer Park Boys!

Baz or Nazareth. I'll take a My Michelle duet with Axl over any shitty 90s or current band.

#123 Re: Guns N' Roses » GNR tour dates in Canada? » 818 weeks ago

Also... it's really interesting they're playing Saskatoon AND Regina. Usually bands play one, IF they even make a stop in the province.

#124 Re: Guns N' Roses » GNR tour dates in Canada? » 818 weeks ago

Man... Guns N' Roses in Regina... wow. That's the closest they'll ever get to me (couple hours). Do I trust them to show up? Hmmm...

#125 Re: The Sunset Strip » Creed tickets -just 75 cents- in Birmingham » 819 weeks ago

I never did like these guys, but I got the shit scared out of me back in grade 9 because of these guys. I basically started a website with Andrew Dice Clay jokes and a few opinions on music (pro-ICP... yep, it was a LONG time ago), and one thing I did was say how much I hated Creed. I sent the website to like two friends and I woke up the next day and it was semi-viral in my town. I got so much hatred for my Creed dis from older people in high school that I took it down. To this day, I have no idea how that happened, but a funny story.

So, fuck Creed, still.

#126 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Perla Hudson is "coming to get" Axl » 820 weeks ago

I always had the sneaking suspicion Perla was really Ulrich Schnauss.

#127 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Duff On Facebook : Velvet Revolver hired "Sebastian Bach" ... » 823 weeks ago

I find Weiland a boring, repetitive lyricist (and a terrible live vocalist) anyways, so bring on Baz as far as I'm concerned. I know it ain't gonna happen, but it'd be ideal.

#128 Re: Dust N' Bones & Cyborg Slunks » Duff SW #57 » 823 weeks ago

I hope Duff writes a book because I think he could offer a lot more useful information than Slash did. He'll still be tactful, but his opinions are going to be much different and I'm sure Duff was in a more sound mind rather than Slash's complete alcoholic debauchery and not only that, he can really tell us what happened when Slash left from Axl's perspective.

#129 Re: Guns N' Roses » Message to GNR fans asking about tour plans (from Ron): » 823 weeks ago

At least he responded. That's golden to fans in GNRville. We know what these guys are gonna say before they even say it, so I don't know why people pester these guys with this shit.

#130 Re: Guns N' Roses » Now on sale for $7.99 at Best Buy » 823 weeks ago

There's no one reason Chinese Democracy failed... it's more like one hundred. The biggest factor I believe is like Zutaut said, there was no huge single. And, if there was one single that could have been big enough with a video and hype, it'd be This I Love over anything else on the album. It certainly wouldn't have been Chinese Democracy and Better would have been a good follow up, or predecessor. People don't buy albums anymore, we've gotten to the point over the last 10 years+ where people buy albums buy them based on the song they like. That and everyone and their mother thinks they are urban, which is killing rock.

You know what, looking back Axl may have been pissed at the label or whatever it was and maybe that halted tour plans. But, there was no reason whatsoever the band couldn't perform one song on an awards show like they did before to promote it. That's the hugest and most important stage of all and immediately grants total interest. Grinding it out on tour doesn't sell albums like it used to. Merchandise, sure. And, at least Axl's current look (or at least the 2006 one) makes him look the part of a rocker instead of weird guy in a jersey with a helium voice and cornrows.
