Reviews have been pretty bad on Rotten Tomatoes. I'm generally not fond of Rotten Tomatoes, but the number of bad critic reviews are overwhelming.

I'd normally go see this on Friday, however school holidays mean the cinema will be packed out. I'll wait till next week.

Yeah I'm going into this with an open mind. Rotten Tomatoes doesn't always have the most reliable critic sources for their reviews. I loved Man of Steel and I know Collider Movie Talk and certain reviewers that I like enjoyed most of the movie despite a ton of problems. So going to give it a fair shake and see what all the fuss is about.

Is it the finale tonight?

Nope this is Episode 14. Two more episodes after this one. 16 in total.

#123 Re: The Sunset Strip » Ghostbusters III (Murray is IN!) » 484 weeks ago

Both trailers were a combination of pure cringe and flat out bad/mediocre. The "ghosts" look straight out of that god awful Eddie Murphy Haunted Mansion movie from like a decade ago. Doesn't help Sony's case that they are getting called out on their bullshit cause mods on their YouTube channel are deleting comments especially any criticisms towards the movie basically on the fact that people didn't like the trailer. ...And I was for a brand new Ghostbusters team no matter what gender as long as it wasn't a full reboot with an actual good cast and production team on board. Also that it showed the original films with respect and get Dan Akyrod to shut up already. The problem is Sony is so desperate for a franchise right now that they are sharing custody of Spider-man with Marvel Studios/Kevin Feige and are even considering 23 Jump Street to be a Men in Black team up movie without Will Smith. I've been hearing rough developments on this debacle. Apparently a guy on reddit who helped work on the production saw a cut of the movie without finished CGI and said it wasn't good at all. The cast and crew had to sign NDAs apparently; so they couldn't talk shit about the finished film. One of the producers cut the budget of the movie as well during filming. Director Paul Feig isn't happy either and there has been tension on set between the cast mainly McCarthy. It's a train wreck and there are rumors of even further re-shoots and fixed marketing being done before the July release date in theaters.

So everyone we have a new Fan4stic on our hands!!

Carol and Maggie kicked so much ass! Negan would be shaking in his boots if he was in a room with those two.

If there's a DC or Maryland show since I know he toured there a few times back during his last couple shows then count me in.

Dave backed off his comments about "Ain't No Christmas" not being about Van Halen and cryptically saying that maybe it is.

If Sammy comes back, I hope Mike does too. I don't think Sammy would do it without him. Then again, we know money talks. If Mike was allowed back in, could they go to a 5 piece with Wolfie on rhythm or would he just exit stage left?

I'm sure Wolf would be involved in some capacity; but if he wanted to step aside to have Mike join full time I'm sure he wouldn't hold anything against them. Wolf plays multiple instruments and could easily help on guitar, switch to keyboards (like someone mentioned already) or something else entirely. He arranged the set lists for the 2007-2014 shows and even was the band leader for show rehearsals. Also organized and sifted through the demos of material while recording and writing his own material for the ADKoT sessions. That guy is going places and wants to make his own music away from the VH brand too. I respect that. Oh yeah I don't doubt for one second Sammy would go without Mike. Sammy got Mike back to working on new material when the VH brothers showed him so much disrespect.

I agree. But I cringe at the term, "Van Hagar". Sammy was in the band for a long time; so Van Halen is Van Halen whether it be Sammy or Dave on vocals. I dug Ain't No Christmas even though that song is a one time play for me. The weird thing is they still have demos from the ADKoT and other sessions that they can release with Wolf and DLR's friends at Henson Studios; but just won't for reasons whether it be egos with Eddie or Dave...or something else entirely. The secrecy keeps reaching GNR levels at this point with the vagueness leaving fans worried. I really want that John 5/DLR album to come out that RaZor and others mentioned. Heard about that awhile ago and sounds like a fun listen.

Also the fact that Wolfgang is about to release a solo album, tour for that, and possibly come back to tour some more with Tremonti means the guy is moving on to more realistic music projects if Van Halen can't make a proper decision. Good for him! I love Mike and want him to come back in some capacity; but if Eddie still has resentment, I don't see it happening. Wolfgang was also the one to mend fences and get Dave back in the band and even gave Eddie the reason to release music again. Alex is just going with the flow like always.

Saw Deadpool on Sunday and it was pretty great. Ryan Reynolds and crew redeemed themselves. I'm hearing Zootopia is getting positive reviews too. Excited for BvS later this month.

Deadpool

Best superhero movie in years. I hope its a kick in the ass to the studios and gives them the balls to release more Rated R shit.

Hoping to see it sometime this upcoming week. There are rumors that Fox are considering making Wolverine 3: Old Man Logan, an R rated affair. Which is to be Hugh Jackman's last film as the character in the X-Men film universe.
