If you watch interviews from "regular murderers" you get a completely different vibe. Those people are actually "off". This is more like hearing a war veteran talk about his experiences.

I agree with the above. Surely no schedule is more likely to produce some studio time than being on the road constantly. All of this comes down to Axl and what he wants to do. They just released a couple of songs, maybe he's found the taste for it again.
