#121 Re: Guns N' Roses » Bumble playing with a (tribute) GNR » 873 weeks ago

Thats one fat Slash. Who ate all the pies?

Its a bit weird him playing with a gnr tribute band but maybe we're reading a bit too much into this - it was probably a spontaneous moment for a bit of fun.

#122 Re: Guns N' Roses » The Upside of a Best Buy deal » 873 weeks ago

I'd imagine it might make it more difficult for the album to leak in advance; as it is usually smaller stores which start selling the album early, as happened with Death Magnetic. Best Buy would be under strict advice not to allow that happen. Although it would probably leak out of the Manufacturing Plant anyway. Or from a store in Europe.

Worst article I've ever read, or at least the third of it I got true. Those connections are incredible vague. Also hard to understand.

That comment in NME was to casual too be true. They said it as if it was an accepted fact, rather than the revelation that it would be. Probably just confused or mixed up.

The answers to every question was a different way of saying "we are keeping are options open" or "we'll wait and see what happens". Lol @ keep an eye on Russia - I'm sure Putin is shaking in his boots.

Its a shame that religion is so important in elections in the most powerful country in the world, which means every candidate has to be extremely religious to have a chance of winning. Thankfully, in europe its much less important.

Hidden Text:

Hmm, seems to be lots of Kill 'Em All references in songs i've heard so far. That was just your life has a verse riff in it like Jump In The Fire. The End of The Line has a riff that reminds me of No Remorse and the vocals in the verse reminded me of the bridge in the Four Horsemen.

I like what I've heard so far tho.

#128 Re: Guns N' Roses » what is this crap? » 877 weeks ago

Of their 11 albums so far, 6 of GN'R's albums have gone platinum several times over.

Even if you go as far as to include walmarts UYI compilation that is still only 9. Maybe they finding getting random facts wrong funny.

I think its funny that after all the furore of no solos in St Anger...the first single off Death Magnetic begins with a solo.

The song is good but it feels like they have tried to put everything from their history into one song at the expense of coherence. The first solo reminds me of Sanitarium, verse guitar sounds like Unforgiven, vocals are like Load/Reload, the light verse/heavy chorus reminds me of all the track 4s on the classic Metallica albums; this is also track 4. The sudden jump to double speed using drums is like various classic Metallica songs (Seek And Destroy, One) even the riff at that point is similiar to One, the double-guitar line and shred solo; all the elements of Classic Metallica are there. But each individual part is not great; I dunno, maybe it will grow on me like a lot of old Metallica songs. Its ok guess.

Incidentally, the fact that a ballad is track 4 like a lot of classic metallica albums, suggests that this album may have a similiar structure, albeit with more songs.

That album cover is very un-inspired. A fan could do that with photoshop.

Very weak.

Its AC/DC! I don't think complex album covers were ever on the agenda!

I hope they play Slane!!
