they could be co-leading acts

True, but we have to take in account that RHCP would hit stage at 9pm and GNR wouldn't go on until 12am 16 Personally I won't show up to a GNR show again before 10:30pm and even that is early...I don't care who is opening, it's not worth it. I saw GNR 5 times in 2006 and only at Hammerstien did they still serve beer when GNR played. At the arenas I went to, the snack and beer tents where closed and employees where going home before GNR hit stage... So gay. I don't see Axl mending his ways..

Hard to believe how much things have changed since the early 90's. MTV glorifies these hacks like Kanye, Jonas Brothers ,Akon, Fergie, Ne-Yo... Artists that will surely be forgotten in 5 yrs. The quality of music isnt at the forefront of teens and kids in their 20's when chosing music, it's all about Image , Drama and who's down with the  "Scene" . With that said there's one thing that's for sure.. after it's all said and done W.Axl Rose & Guns n Roses will be remembered long after the last emo dork puts down his razor blade and the pimped out Kanye crowd have pawned out all their bling. Axl Rose will be remembered, and  the others will be just a bad memory.

I couldn't agree more! 5

Oh okay then maybe Axl can get the Jonas brothers or Coldplay

You drive a hard bargin! 16 Ok, ok I'd take White Snake and Danger, Danger over that crap. 14

how about the killers or red hot chili peppers

either of those bands would be PERFECT, but I doubt RHCP would open, too big..

#124 Re: Guns N' Roses » Axl PWNS DR. PEPPER » 865 weeks ago

Dr Pepper deserves this because their site did crash. I tried 3 times before giving up and I felt a bit cheated...

GARBAGE is an alternative rock band, who has sold millions of albums

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garbage_(band)

But, I was refering to your suggestions - they are garbage. Those bands would hurt tickets sales. We need a band that has RELEVANCE and that appeals to young people, not old washed up "hair metal" fans bucket

and yes, Garbage would be a better choice than White Snake or Danger, Danger

They didn't hire really good opening acts last time.

No they did not. BFMV sucked ass! This time they need to get somebody worth damn, at least get HIM or Alice In Chains, or something worth a shit.

Summer 2009?  The CD hype won't survive that long.  It will be a 2006 tour all over again.

If nobody cares by summer of 2009 then it's all for nothing anyhow.... I think people will grow to appreciate the album as the months go on, and by summer fans will be hungary for a tour. Look for GNR to play festivals too... Now that CD is released a tour will make more sense to people, unlike 2006 when folks where like wtf?

I'm not sure if Buckethead and Axl are on good terms can anyone verify that?. I would bet on a Fink return more than Buckethead, but who knows if Finck left on good terms either

I agree 100% I don't see why anyone supports the notion that BH will be back in GNR. The only argument that can be made is that his special thanks and a photo of him appears in the album cover...And it is odd that the first two pics are Axl and BH... Other than that, I would have to say BH won't be back, but who knows. I guess we'll know "soon" 16
