Was the title "down by the sea" leaked before that interview?
Izzy mentioned it in 2001 in an interview with Popular 1 mag but the translation is a little off. Its the only time he's mentioned it to date.

Muse's lame sound got old real fast. It sounds good on the radio when it's next to Nickelback and all that crap, but it's not really great. They get way too much credit.

For the record I think Axl should make me lead guitarist in GNR, it would create a new level of hatred and anger among the fanbase as I fucked up every solo...then he could go back to the current dudes...and you'd all respect their abilities a lot more

Changing the subject -- what ever happened to that fake "Leave me alone" demo that was around a while ago? I actually liked it, even though it was clearly not Gnr.
