How long until the $500 package is half off?  I want the vinyl, but know this will be a clearance rack item in 12 months.

I'm in the same boat here. $500 is steep but I get why, it's 12LPs and vinyl is expensive these days. My guess is it all gets reduced in price after Christmas.

Ritz 91 Bluray confirmed. Transferred from film to 4K UHD, then released on this Bluray as 1080p with HiRes audio and Dolby Atmos 5.1

Also November Rain has had the synth orchestra replaced with a real orchestra, so it isn't a typo - it's a new 2022 version.

Those are the highlights content-wise. Also a nice hardcover book with photos + some other random replica merch.

So someone on the Discord pointed something interesting out.

Usually these digital releases follow the physical disc edition tracklistings. Well look at "Disc 3" on that Qobuz tracklisting page.

It's impossible to fit everything under Disc 3 on one disc. It would take about 4 CDs to fit both those shows.

It only makes sense for that to be listed as Disc 3 if Disc 3 is a Bluray. We maybe are getting some proshot.

Btw, would you wanna join a new GNR discord that just started? The aim of it is to be comprised at least at a 60/40 or 70/30 ratio of community old timers and skew toward an older (25/30+) user base, as opposed to the other servers which have mainly Gen Z. It’s just starting, with barely any people. But you’re welcome if you’d like to be part of it.

I'm in two good ones at the moment, but I've left some bad ones like WAR room and Tarpits because some of the posters in there were just nasty. Lots of shitposting, pathetic infights between users and lots of casual racism etc. If your Discord ISN'T like those ones then sure, shoot me an invite via PMs.

I would think Quick Song has a proper name now. Is Tonto showing up now too?

Here in the UK I get related results for:

"Atlas Shrugged"
"state of grace"
"soul mon"
"the general"
"i wanna be your dog"

On "soul mon" I just get GN'R under artist. For the rest it specifically brings up Hard Skool, not just the track but the actual "album" that it sits on in Spotify's DB, and sometimes Absurd.

Haven't found any other titles or even trying different lyrics from Perhaps, that give any results yet.

No demos or some unreleased track is a real letdown.

Video of these shows and/or the never released documentary save this. Not holding out hope at this point. We'll see when they do the official announcement, which should be today... right?

This release having no "new" single of any sort to push does free up space to also push a certain bunch of other "new" tracks though.... wishful thinking probably.

It also included all the song titles for a potential second album.

Titles that were later verified years later with the 2019 leaks like Perhaps & Tonto. Means either that list of song titles was legitimate OR MSL knew about/had some tracks long ago and sprinkled them into some elaborate fake. I think the former though.

IIRC that list had stuff like ChiDem2 Better2 etc on it as well. Maybe Axl also wanted to release newer versions of those songs?

If you then think about how Absurd is near identical to the BBF demo… what if the reworked Better intro predates the NITL reunion?

It's really hard to know what they do and don't have, but there's enough evidence that a good amount of work happened after 98-01, so I think he has some songs.

In terms of unfinished stuff from those 00-01 leaks from 2019, We have:

* Perhaps, Atlas are pretty much done and probably have had work similar to HS done on them since. BBF was recording solos for Atlas in 07/08.
* Quick Song is basically done compositionally and has a vocal melody but no lyrics.
* State of Grace doesn't sound finished at that point. The music doesn't seem to go anywhere, and the vocal track is rough and useless. I would be surprised though if it wasn't developed further or parts of it weren't developed further in new songs/other songs.
* Oklahoma, the music is compositionally done and Axl was highlighting this track to RS in 99/00. Would be surprised if nothing happened with this.
* Me & My Elvis sounds very complete musically. If we assume this track is what he referred to as Elvis & The Monster of Soul/Soul Monster in those 08 forum chats then he's on the record as having recorded vocals for this.
* Zodiac is labeled as no vox, suggesting may a cut with vocals did exist around that time. It also sounds musically and compositionally complete. Would be surprised if he did nothing with this.
* And a tonne of other instrumentals in varying states.

Then we have the tracks from those leaks that we know had further work done:

* Everything that was complete on those leaks that made the album, all had some changes to them
* Better & Sorry are completely without vocals and they're on the album with vocals.
* Silkworms, gets a chorus that is sung at Rio and a new one years later
* Hard Skool gets reworked musically and comes out last year
* Shacklers, in 2000 not even complete musically, just a rough musical idea. By 2008 it's been fleshed out into a full song with vocals.
* Tommy's Going Down song, we have a later leak with Axl on backing vocals.

We also have songs like Scraped which are nowhere to be seen on any leaks. The only existence of that song we have is the album and no one from the band has ever talked about it. We also have that cell phone recording of The General.

So in short... I think he has more than a few songs left in the vault.

And based on clips this band needs something released. These shows look boring and Axl vocally doesn't have much left. A UYI boxset, unreleased demos from 86-94 or new music. Just something, they need something right now.

Far as I can see, from a judicial standpoint, when Trump as President took home the documents to an unsecured location he in effect declassified them. Apparently they were headed for the National Archives so it doesn't sound like it could have been all that compromising, but what do I know.

For him to be charged with this smacks of lawlessness. It's like they've decided to treat him like just an ordinary citizen and everybody goes along with it.

He hasn't been charged with anything yet. He's being investigated and they got the warrant because they had probable cause that he was violating or had violated those three statutes.

If the affidavit is unsealed we'll have a better idea of what he is being investigated for having done.

Also, he is an ordinary citizen. Once he's no longer president he can be found guilty of things again and isn't immune. The declassification argument... it doesn't seem like it's supposed to work that way and seems a reckless precedent to set.

As I and others have said - we ultimately don't know a whole lot yet, can only speculate to varying extremes at the moment on what is happening and actually has happened.

My suspicion is they think they've got him on more than just holding on to documents he shouldn't hold on to because this feels like a very heavy handed approach for a crime that in the court of public opinion comes across like a nothingburger to some. Even though it's actually pretty serious if he's holding national security secrets, even DOJ has to know that if this is all it is then it looks like overkill, even if legally it's perfectly justified.
