It’s alright. A necessary upbeat rocker. Also, “don’t you try to stop us now” not “me now”. A rare divergence in lyrical theme from the “me me me” thing for Axl.

The leaks is probably what changed the album. They  just said fuck it and put everything that leaked on CD and a couple of extra tracks, so the follow up albums all had unheard songs

I think scraped would have been a B side but they threw it on CD as punishment for everything leaking and said yeah take this shit song instead of something better.

Go back to the Limewire Leaks thread and look at the OVERWHELMING response to Scraped. The first two pages are love for Scraped.

It wasn’t a double album from 99-01. Songs like better, soul monster, the general, scraped, sorry and maybe even if the world would be on the second disc. Time went by and they borrowed from the second album by 08.

Via slash on twitter:

Now that the GNR US tour has finally reached its conclusion, I want to thank everybody across the country who made this the best US run in the last 7 years since I've been back in the picture. It was incredible experience, that will never be forgotten, cheers!

I wonder what it was about this run that made it the best in his 7 years? The new tunes? Changing the set? Or just his road experience?

Would 2000 usd get me one of these songs?

Monsters fucking rules. The reason you don’t like it is because it has a hook? What?

#137 Re: Guns N' Roses » The General and Monsters » 127 weeks ago

The more i listen to The General, the more I’m convinced the vocal effects will stay. That would be unfortunate but I’m also thinking we are hearing the official vinyl version.

They have always been in it for the money. Since day 1. They wanted to be millionaire rock stars and that was the goal. Unfortunately for fans that achieved that very early on.

Was just reminded of that pathetic incident where Axl sent DJ Ashba a platinum award for CD. Not only did he have no credits, he didn't even appear on the record like BBF and Frank.

Holy shit.

That's almost as bad as Bobby Blotzer giving platinum albums to his entire scab RATT lineup a few years ago.

Megadeth recently did something similar with their current lineup for one of their classic albums. Did the whole photo opp thing with the current band.

Edit: sweet scarf Bobby! Lololol

Totally agree

Did Ron get no writing credits on CD? Not a one?

Edit: Nope. Answered my own question.

No, bc he just re did solos

Redid solos and a bunch of rhythm parts (notably CD verses). Pretty much exactly what Slash did!
