'Closing In On You' was mentioned a few pages back. The above discussion is all about 'Zodiac'.
but I have a feeling its just as relevant as some of these clips.
MSL seems to be talking about the Spanish hoarders - from whom this clip came - being real. All that they told me was lies I couldn't see, if I am reading his post right.:haha: If that's so: maybe he could clarify where the whole 'game' these guys are supposedly playing stands on 'Zodiac'.
If it's fake, he has to concede he is talking to people who have unleashed fake audio, seeing as he *seems* to believe these people are real and worthy of time....

That clip has circulated for years.
Why didn't you mention earlier it had been circulated for years? As far as I knew, that clip first appeared when the 'Thyme' stuff went down (and when I was talking to the Spanish guy who claimed part responsibility - as well as it being 'legit').
MSL: if you really believe these guys are legit please clear this 'Zodiac' thing up. Just that one request.:)

Don't be so proud Arcade, betting things won't leak is quite the easy bet. Even if you're wrong, which only happens 2% of the time, everyone's too excited to call you on it.

Once again: I'm betting on this because I have proof - I dealt with the people before, and they were all mouth and no leaks.:) I have proven this conclusively, IMO.
I will wait for MSL (and whoever else) though.... I'm not a gloater; I'm just offering my two cents.:)

By stuff described to me, I mean stuff from Bucket I haven't heard before. So, even if it's Bucket stuff I haven't heard, it doesn't sound like anything I've heard other people talk about from Bucket.

arcade, you're thinking too much here. the point is not who is right and who is wrong . . . the point is that who is right and who is wrong is not always the point of the exercise . . .
a lot of times the people who have stuff are the ones that swear they have nothing . . . sometimes you test the ones that swear they have nothing by seeing if they'll call you on your bullshit. if you'd said earlier that his lyrics were wrong, he'd know you had the song.
a lot of it is unnecessary bullshit, but for the hoarders, it's foreplay . . .
Well, having shared his info with some senior members of the community, we came to a *loose* consensus that they had nothing (because only I partially disagreed and still talk to the guy/s from time to time... well, talked) - and any further discussions would only be a waste of time.
If you can claim to get something from this, well... you are on a higher plane than the rest of us. It would be like Gary Moore joining a new indie band where the members all make the same guitar sounds, if you see what I mean. (And I think that's largely because we all here go on the assumption that 'leakers don't play games', which is a fair and rational starting point.) I still have trouble believing there is something to this....
Bottom line (before I shut up, LOL): If you believe these guys who several top 'investigators' of this kind of thing all proclaimed were BS, (why) do you still only have their WORD to go on that a new 'OMG' is out there? Unless you/I was to have heard such a thing at least down the phone/a 10 second indisputable clip, I would never go public with such information. (Private yes, public no.)
Answer me that. That's why I called out this charlatan when I did - and don't regret it either. But if you say this because you have new information, well, send it to me, JL, strat, downliner and others so we can see and judge for ourselves.

and as much as i respect arcade roses' efforts, he must realize this is a complicated game of cat and mouse and people like him are often used to ensure that misinformation makes its way on to the boards . . .

I was given fake lyrics to 'If The World' (before it was posted) and other songs so I could be 'deceived'? These people have fooled more than just me... they have fooled some *very* high up and 'respected' people on these boards and I know that definitively.
By the way... dare I say it... I *did* manage to get the clip off them (well, they sent it to me unsolicited)... which, you having said that, reminds me.:nervous:

I'm kinda busy and don't want this thread to shoot up to 20 pages when I'm gone so:
MSL told me he was talking to some guys in Mexico who claim to have '99 demos. What he told me - +what this guy here 'Spanish hoarder' (how stupidly fake and obvious) has been harping on about (a new 'OMG', etc.) - made me realise it was some people who I had by chance encountered earlier in the year who sent around fake clips of 'Zodiac', fake info, etc.. So I warned MSL about this - saved his ship from hitting an iceberg.
MSL confirmed this to me last night and so he *may* have '*finished*' with them now....
Some guys claim that clip (which came from these people MSL is talking to) they have not heard before though; hence the above conversation.
Downliner - I've sent you my proof in PMs (CD.com).:)
These people have nothing (IMHO).
