I will say one thing I'm disappointed about, unless we hear differently, is that CD might be filled with songs we've already heard. Of course, that's our fault, right?
that would suck...for me at least...unless those songs are a world of difference apart from the leaks, i won't be overly excited...
lets hope that the material we haven't heard outnumbers the ones we have by quite a margin....

yeah, if it ever happens, i think they would want bygones to be bygones....i doubt Slash and Duff would want to be involved in CD era material in any way...
CD out...perhaps a tour around it...Slash does his solo record....do some appearances for it....
then afterwards...Rock Hall of Fame for the first reunion gig...and then a full on world tour...

i could believe this...Axl did his project, what's the need for these guys to hang around anymore???
they finished their work...
This Azoff guy is after the big dollar....and he will release CD this year, and then get onto a GNR world tour with Slash and Axl on the same stage...
its the only scenario which makes sense business wise....any other alternative is just small business....

in the mid nineties, when he was at his prime, Axl could have shat out Shacklers and sold millions of copies...
He had that much power over the market and the music industry...
Choosing not to, and letting the music world change without him was a big gamble which i am not sure will pay off in the long run....
i hope it does, but i seriously doubt it now...

This document is fake, for obvious reasons.
it ain't...we just got confirmation from an industry pro who has seen the same list...a good while before we got it....

the document properties said that it was done on 06/08...so early August...whether it was edited to include Q4 info then, or written up from scratch we can't say...as we dont know...
Was this a document that a distributor or retailer had, or a document from Universal?
both...it was sent by Universal sales to a retailer...and then it was mailed to us...
we don't have a reason to doubt its authenticity...person who sent it to us is not someone who cares about these forums and any of the GNR controversy....in fact they though we'd be interested in the new Eminem album....
like its been mentioned, we got wind of it first a few days back, and when it was sent to us (source was in Excel) downliner checked it in detail to ensure it wasn't tampered with....and it wasn't....
the original "author" of the document turned out to be someone high up in Universal globally, sic confirmed this for us....which led us to believe that the document is not a fake...
if Mysteron says its fake, then take his word for what its worth....i don't know his connections or how much he knows...
but one thing is for sure....we wouldn't post this on here if we thought that it was just another rumor or to get attention in any way...

It was on Uni's list in 2000 and well....
true that...and 01...02...and wasn't it 03 as well?
then again, it must have been on the list in 06 too...
this is no indication that its coming out, all it means is that retail got notified of the major releases, and GNR is on there...

not necessarily....we had confirmation before from Russ that his friend at Uni said that GNR were on the list...we just never got the list itself....and we've looked at the validity of this document well in detail before it was posted here....
good point, well spotted, but i don't think that a simple typo like that indicates that its no good....
