DUFF MCKAGAN Talks About A Possible 'One-Night-Only' GUNS N' ROSES Reunion - May 14, 2008

In a worldwide exclusive, former GUNS N' ROSES bassist Duff McKagan talked about the possibility of a one-night-only GN'R reunion on the latest installment of "The Heyman Hustle", the flagship program of NewsCorp's new global broadband television network.

The interview was conducted by "Hustle" host/producer Paul Heyman, the extreme sports entertainment icon whose extreme wrestling concepts revolutionized the pro wrestling landscape in the 1990s, and whose performances in World Wrestling Entertainment from 2000 to 2006 included co-hosting "Monday Night Raw" and acting as on-air "General Manager" of "Smackdown".

Heyman's interview with McKagan is interspliced with clips of supermodel Lydia Hearst, Miss USA Cristal Stewart, heiress Ally Hilfiger, and McKagan's wife, supermodel and bikini fashion designer Susan Holmes.

McKagan also tackles the tough subject of Scott Weiland's departure from VELVET REVOLVER, and the search for a new lead singer.

But the highlight of the show just might be his wife Susan's dress, which has Heyman practically speechless.

This week's "The Heyman Hustle" can be viewed in its entirety at this location.

As it says in the title, that shirt is a bootleg.

And there's your answer.

I'd like to see the tour dates in a bigger picture to see if they're the '91 UYI tour dates (since they used the UYI skull/top hat logo), or if they just made up their own to put on the shirt.

North American Tour '89?

Since when did the 4 shows with the Stones and the AMA appearance become a full blown tour?

I like the guitar work in Echoplex, but beyond that, the song sucks.

All those drugs over the years have made Scott a blithering idiot. Why anyone gives him the time of day is beyond me.

The song WAS played - my friend confirmed it again.

Just for the record. I don't post fake rumors.

A friend of mine just called me. He has a friend that lives out in Kansas City, and apparently one of the stations out there (I didn't catch the name, sorry) - just played IRS. It's my understanding that they promoted it as "the new Guns N' Roses song."

I'll try to get more details from the source tonight - my friend has no reason to make shit up as he's not a Guns fan at all. I just found it interesting that a station would take the chance to play one of the leaks especially after all of the cease and desist orders went around.

I wouldn't mind seeing Gilby back in GN'R! Bump Fortus to lead, and have Gilby take over rhythm duities.

This was posted on mygnr, and subsequently locked, but it's interesting to point out nonetheless:

"A source/friend of mine works for RockStar (Beverages). He informs me that the at least the online division of Rockstar Marketing has been contacted by someone from the 'camp' , and proposed a "potential backing for an upcoming international tour by a re-formed GNR."

If this is true, RockStar has a history of supporting/promoting large venues and tours. A Rockstar supported tour sounds more fitting to support...'rockstars' than Dr. Pepper. smile.gif Maybe a bidding war or dual-promotion is in the works.Who knows.

Does anyone know if RockStar Games (GTA) is affiliated with the Beverage company? Could be lots of potential promotion here..

Hello everyone. Lots going on...

Some of you may have heard a new Nine Inch Nails track on your radio today. You will be able to download your own copy of the track right here later tonight for free - stop back in a few hours.

What else is going on? Hmmn. We're considering a real-time live webcast of me signing 2,500 copies of the just-arrived, super-ultra-mega-deluxe GHOSTS edition all day Thursday. These really turned out great and I can't wait to sign EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM.

We have some tour info coming... SOON (I know you love that word) as well as some other info about something else, too.

That was a DIRECT shot at Axl.
