Lock Slash in a room with this:

on a constant loop, until he understands that it is better than this:

IN EVERY FUCKING RESPECT.

Just rewatched that video of It's So Easy with Corey and Slash. Slash, you massive fucking tool, you nixed a VR reunion with Corey on vocals - the only singer I've seen who manages to put the same level of venom into ISE that Axl does - so you could fuck around with Myles and his banal songwriting and his helium voice and his inability to LEARN THE FUCKING WORDS TO THE SONGS?

Lock Chester Bennington in the studio until he agrees to record with them. Get Izzy on board as a songwriter. Keep Kushner on board (or, possibly, get Dave Navarro in as second guitar).

Record a stripped-down, raw rock record - a couple of weeks in the studio should do the trick. Tour it.

THIS IS ALL YOU NEED TO FUCKING WELL DO, VELVET REVOLVER.

Gah! They should leak it themselves - if the public response is positive, use that as leverage to convince Slash…

I guess it just gets easy to be an asshole as nobody pulls you up, chins you or calls you out; its just 'yes sir' all the time.

Axl's food rider was ok I thought. I guess it was all the other BS that was pissin' James off.

It's about working in TV, but Charlie Brooker's comments are pertinent:

Slash, Izzy and the guys could just get a guest singer in, if it's a one-shot thing. Sebastian Bach, or Chester Bennington, or even - Christ, I hope not - Myles Kennedy.

Or Axl might show up. I think for all the posturing, we've come very close to a reunion on several occasions. They still have to keep in touch, for legal matters as much as anything else. And the HOF will stall until they've sorted out their issues; they really don't want a GN'R clusterfuck happening.

And it doesnt mention Chinese Democracy directly or indirectly (font, Chinese GN'R logo) anywhere.

Is it too much to hope that they're gearing up for that self-titled album release?

I'm pretty sure they asked Chester and he turned them down.

They should fucking chloroform him and lock him in the studio until he agrees to sing for them. I mean, imagine if they took this band on the road:

Chester, Slash, Navarro, Duff and Adler.

Vintage Axl fucking Rose.

As a child, I used to think he was singing "You can take the biggest sofa but it's more than I can stand."

Why, thought my younger self, was this hard-ass rocker so concerned about the soft furnishings?
