Should have released in 2001, they missed that for whatever reasons. From what we know sounds like label folk had concerns with whether he had enough "good" songs and were always pushing for a reunion anyways.
To be fair, based on the timeline we know for certain songs, it looks like he puts vocals down on Better at some point 01/02 (he's playing it in a strip club in early 03, and he's busy during 02 Fall), so maybe delaying to get some extra songs done wasn't a terrible idea.
Booking them to play VMAs without even just a single and music video ready to go - that's a terrible idea. Following that up with a tour when you still have nothing ready? Also terrible idea.

Anyone know where you can order the new colour?
It's a "free" gift when signing up for their Nightrain membership, which gives you access to buy tickets early and a couple of other perks.

My fave song from the final album. My answer to this keeps changing but I'd probably say Better. If I was picking from leaked demo versions I'd say either CD or Catcher.
It's one of those albums with more good songs than you realise I think too, like now I think of it I could list quite a lot of them as runners up lol.
It really does have a lot of good songs, I honestly think the only real stinker is Scraped and even then it's not bad it's just a bit meh (like Anything Goes on AFD IMO). It just lacks a big single, closest it has are CD and Better.
Could it sound better if it hadn't been tweaked and re-recorded loads of times? Sure, for every step forward those additions took, they eventually took a step back.
Biggest example to my mind is TWAT, the improvement by making it longer and adding that Bucket solo makes the later versions smoke the 99/00 demos.... but then they add that weird choir and other shit to the start and take more and more edge off the song. It's still better because the solo elevates it so much but then it loses it's edge.
Same with CD.... that intro scream that was added right before the song kicks in is killer, and the extra solo is a good addition too. But the extra minute long intro, all the little jingles and chimes and other things added to it.... they muddy the song way too much. Even Ron's addition of the fretless slide part - it's actually a good idea, adds a bit of groove and sleaze, but it's just layered in on top of an already messy song. A good idea that could probably have been executed and included in the song in a much better way if bringing it to the table in 01.

This just begged to be the Hell Freezes Over of the 21st century. Instead of a huge release...they just ran it into the ground with diminishing returns until dropping it.
Yup, sooner or later they'll need to give this thing a jolt to keep going. Only so many times people will pay top dollar to see the same show. Either that or they will need start actually taking long gaps between touring to make people hungry to see them again.

How many legs of this tour planned this year?
This tour doesn't even have a name. NITL is over and now they're just.... existing

I agree with everything but the physical release aspect. It would be ideal if they had those ducks in a row, but physical purchases of music these days are a niche. Who knows though, maybe they think that matters and that's why they delay. I don't see why every single released needs a physical version, especially in 2022 - even if there are delays in producing physical media it shouldn't block a digital release.
I can easily see the situation being Slash was told that was the plan for Summer and then for whatever reason (Cold feet, some delay with the process, stalling due to fighting with the label, some other typical CD era bullshit) it's changed and he now looks like a liar. I can't see why he would lie so when he said all that in January and February he must have thought he was telling the truth.
Who knows, maybe they release something and it then appears on the alts or maybe they release something but don't perform it. Doubt it.

I think when the European tour starts, if someone can get hold of the setlist, that'll give a clue, because there's nothing on the internet.
In essence, I haven't found anything useful
Well first show out of the way, still waiting to see a setlist.
Any more info on whether we should expect something before the end of the European tour?
I'll email again and see what they say. If someone can get the set list, that'll probably give some indication
A setlist has emerged, nothing interesting on the alts apart from Street of Dreams.
It isn’t looking good for Slash’s promised song or two. Wonder if your source can say whether forthcoming means this Summer cause doesn’t look like anything is happening just now.

They're soundchecking Street of Dreams tonight, so we'll see if tonight's set has any surprises.
No setlist photo from the first gig has emerged yet annoyingly. It would be nice to know if we should give up hope.

I’m still wondering where the 1-2 songs are that Slash talked about.
Still need to see a setlist and see the alts.
It’s a shame that his voice seems permanently broken now. I’m going to a show on this tour with my wife as I want to see them one more time (got my first and only chance to see them in 2017) and she’s never seen them but after this I don’t think I’ll bother again. Unless there’s more new songs released or he gets his voice fixed, what’s the point?
