#161 Re: Guns N' Roses » Slash and Axl friends again? » 511 weeks ago

@apex - that last quote sounds like they may have already been communicating at that point, just not about a reunion.

The earliest clue that things maybe changing, that I recall, was Axl's Golden Gods speech, when he thanked all past members.

@apex - hell yes it would.

I still think Axl has that in him though.  There were a couple of shows in Vegas last year where he was on fire, and he very well may be getting into fighting shape as we speak preparing for next year.

Reunion or not, I'm excited for what's to come next year. Well, hopefully next year. Lol

I wouldn't say he has a point.  If he had said Axl isn't in as good oh shape as he was 5 or 10 years ago, that would have been a point.  Calling someone a fat bastard is an insult.

It has come to me attention that Axl is on a strict diet and losing weight.

Am I the only one on the internet that took that as another dig at Axl, as opposed to Axl getting ready for a reunion?

No. A few posters over at Truth thought it was a lame assed apology as well, myself included.

I don't think that's a bad thing though. To me, this implies that Ash was forced to give a reluctant apology because someone (Slash) came down on him hard.  Also, the comment that it's come to his attention that Axl is on a diet implies there is communication between the camps.

What if Myles played rhythm and helped Axl on vocals like don't cry etc? Myles singing harmony only and rhythm could be cool... Stupid thought. Not sure why I posted. Lol

I actually had the same thought. Myles doing back up vocals, and any notes that Axl has trouble with. Bon Jovi has been doing this for a couple years now with Richie Sambora and David Brian filling in.

The discussion at GNRTruth is pretty civil most of the time, and it usually only gets heated when fools/trolls make unsubstantiated comments and folks that know better call them out.

Jim is the person that ID talks about sometimes. IDK if he's the same Jim from HTGTH.

Brooke posted on Truth a few times to promote the podcast, shit got a bit heated:

He talks about his experience with Adler in one of his posts on the first thread.

#168 Re: Guns N' Roses » "Izzy has never completed a major world tour in his entire life." » 513 weeks ago

Wasn't one of the reasons that Izzy bowed out of Velvet Revolver because he didn't want to do a full tour - just clubs and bars type stuff?

As much as I don't care for Dizzy Reed in Guns, I dig what I've heard of his solo stuff.
It's too bad that he is suffering from the GNR curse, and that his solo record will never come out.
I dig "Silent Light" and "The Air"
I love Bowie, Mott the Hoople and T-Rex, and obviously so does Dizzy.

The Dizzy Reed album has Dizzy on keyboards and vocals, lyrics by Del James and Dizzy Reed, guitars by Richard Fortus, Bumblefoot, Alex Grossi, Todd Youth, Whitey Kirst, Ricky Warwick, Jeff Duncan, and Bobby Hamble.

Bobby Hamble plays on the track "Cheers To Oblivion."  Jeff Duncan plays on the track "Mother Theresa." Alex Grossi seems to be the main guitarist, he claims to have played on every track.

Tommy Stinson, Mike Duda, Greg Coates, and Chuck Wright, all share bass duties on the record.
On the drums, Dizzy has Frank Ferrer, Frankie Banelli, Mike Dupke, Adrian Young, and Anthony Biuso.

The best I can tell, the album was recorded from 2003 to 2005, and will never come out.

Fortus tweeted a few months ago that Dizzy's album should be coming out later this year.
