There is a lot of stuff I don't have on CD and some of the obscure stuff can be tough to find on pirate sites

Torrents and other download sites are garbage now.  Only the most popular movies or albums/songs will have a decent amount of seeders...and only briefly. Once something drops from the top of the list, the seeders vanish.

Anything obscure or simply not popular is either not on the sites or languishes with one or zero seeders.

After hearing Touch the Leather from Fat White Family and Beautiful Life from Heartless Bastards, I went to the torrents.

I was shit out of luck.

Years ago you could get anything on those sites.

Was it the labels and studios suing people or trying to get shit deleted that ruined them?

Nope...it was streaming that killed it.

People in general no longer cared about owning music or movies... whether legally or not. They were perfectly happy with simply renting/subscribing to them.

The movie and music industries love this 21st century consumer. Don't have to produce high quality files or DVD/Blu-ray/CDs on a mass scale anymore. Just toss up low quality music/movies on these platforms and the masses gobble it up.

The cherry on top is how this consumer now mocks those who prefer high quality product as ancient relics/dinosaurs.

I'm sure the suits get a huge laugh at this behind closed doors.

Either way we slice it, it's not going away. It's the present and future of media consumption. The convenience of it... especially with movies...is too irresistible.

I still download everything, I want to actually own my media. I have to use so many USB's because my laptop memory would get overrun with all my downloads. Have no interest in streaming. And yeah, torrents are pretty much hell. I'll be downloading something with 1 seed that isn't even connected at the time it starts, then like 3 days later a message will pop up saying my download is complete and I'll have completely forgotten I was even torrenting it. For a lot of movies that don't have seeds, like say something that was moderately successful 20 years ago but has been forgotten now, I have to go to foreign sites and then copy and paste it onto of those download url sites. Probably going to end up with a terrible virus at some point, but whatever.

I'm really hoping we hear something that is completely new to us in terms of the title, music, and vocals. That would be a pleasant surprise.

Also just realised something about Slash's storytelling that makes no sense. He said they reworked all these songs during the COVID lockdown period... they were soundchecking Hard Skool before lockdown. We have the audio, we have the setlist photos. They also had OMG on the setlist in the 2018.

Not to mention confirmation Slash was recording at Axl's home studio in April 2019. He likely doesn't give much of a shit about this material.

Why people so sure she's controlling his life?
Other than rumors and crazy fan theories, is there any actual evidence?

In 2012, Axl's former "friend" Marc Canter started unloading all of Axl's personal issues on Mygnr, and said that Beta hated Slash more than Axl. While he clearly meant that Beta hated Slash because of how much their feud upset Axl, his comments gave fans someone to blame for there being no reunion, and the classless attention whore did nothing to clarify the situation for the years he posted on there. Fans insisted that Beta was the Yoko of the band and that TB would never allow a reunion, because Slash and Duff would never accept TB managing the band (they were of course hilariously wrong on both counts). But it stems from there. Before Marc started posting nonstop about the behind the scenes dynamics there was hatred of Beta but nothing on the level that has existed since then.

yeah perhaps would be awesome, and state of grace. I really want some version of Eye on You as well...I love the verses before the mac daddy stuff...it's a great melody for a song.

I want the next single to be something that wasn't leaked (with vocals) like Oklahoma or Soul Monster. And not just for the selfish reason of wanting stuff I've never heard before, but also because until we get such a track I'm going to be nervous that Axl is just releasing songs that have already leaked.

Between here and Mygnr, I've seen people say the clips remind them of: Atlas Shrugged, Oklahoma, The General, Soul Monster, Circus Maximus, & D Tune. I may have missed some. I think we're collectively losing it.

I looked up State of Grace and the two biggest artists in the results are Taylor Swift (ugh) and GNR.

They show up for Atlas....didn't get anything for Thyme or Oklahoma(boo!).

They show up for The General.

My mindset at the moment....

I'm gonna force myself to be optimistic...the yin to my negative yang thanks to the box set.

Wouldn't Oklahoma be Berlin now?

I personally feel if Hard Skool hadn't leaked it would still be unreleased.

This is the "super deluxe". Along with the You Could Be Mine live single getting ready to launch, it appears there is no new studio material to go along with this.

As most will probably recall, last year, in the week before Hard Skool was released, typing the song's name into Spotify brought up GNR. Now, apparently the same is true with State Of Grace in certain countries. So...new single soon?

While it's not impossible, I don't see Axl going out there doing GNR shows at age 70, with how much he's already struggling. How do you envision the next decade going? My current guess:

2023: UYI Box, with Ain't Goin Down single. No promotion whatsoever from the band
2024: New Slash solo album
2025: New tour with Oh My God/Atlas released as singles

At some point in the few years after I would expect a farewell tour, continuing for as long as Axl's voice can hold up.
